Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Inheritance Cycle, Plants vs. Zombies, and Lord of the Rings. Hey, I'm ElvishPrincess99. The name came about because my first attempt was rejected. In desperation, I turned to my favourite book. LotR gave me the former part -to the best of my knowledge the spelling is as Tolkien wished- and my ego did the rest. So, I suppose you'd like to read something on my interests? Here we go: I really enjoy Doctor Who, and think Doctor/Martha would have made an great couple. I really don't like people who dislike her off, simply because she's taken Rose's place. I love LotR and LotR/HP crossovers. Mainly the ones which involve Hermione & Legolas at some point. I also like the games, but I have to say the Fellowship rules above all. It has a wonderful soundtrack, and in my opinion captures the feel of the book rather well. I recommend that fans take a look. I have recently got into Terry Pratchett books in a big way, and he is now my absolute favourite author. His ability to make the mundane utterly hilarious combined with razor-sharp observances make him the best author I've read thus far. Eragon is great, and the description of him post dragon's magic was, er, nice. Of course, I see where Arya's coming from. I ardently believe Murtagh is innately good, and Christopher Paolini drove me insane in the course of 'Brisingr'. I believe, of course, that the man is an evil genius and a brilliant writer. I hope that all comes good in the final book, but you know how these things go... Harry Potter is another love of mine, because I'm taken into another world. I'm not a fanatic, but of course that doesn't mean very much. I enjoy the stories written about it, and have written one of my own. It's a crossover with LotR and is being updated as I type. Technically. I like Lara Croft, but don't go in for the stories as much. I missed the games -being slightly to young to actually game at the time- but am a big fan of the next-gen games and one or two of the old Playstation ones- they got me interested. I also Ugly Betty, and can't wait for more here in Britain. I like Charlie a little more now, but can't believe she went behind Henry's back like that! And still hoping that the child isn't his. I know that's pathetic, but hope/denial springs eternal. A word on my in-progress fiction: -Battle for Middle Earth: The Witch and the Elf (henceforth; BFME)- I am currently actively working on the eighth chapter for this fic. Can't say how long it'll be because I have no idea at the moment...I do envision it being quite long though. XD -Sorting Out Your Past And Present (SOYPP)- This story is still technically active, but I'm having difficulty tying it all up. I WILL update, I promise. In fact, I'm feeling guilty so I'll at least attempt to come up with a definite plot-line to move things forward. Favourite Quotes. "There's nary an animal alive that can outrun a greased scotsman!" Groundskeeper Willie. "This concludes our demonstration. Cookies and juice are available in the hall. For those of you who didn't glue their mouths shut eating paste..." Principal Skinner. "The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it."- Terry Pratchett "Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. But set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life."- Terry Pratchett "In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move." -Douglas Adams "There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened."- Douglas Adams "A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject." - Winston Churchill "The most difficult thing in the world is to know how to do a thing and to watch someone else doing it wrong, without commenting." T.H. White "I can't understand why people are frightened by new ideas. I'm frightened of old ones." "'They say there's dwarf mines under the Ramtops,' she said inconsequentially. 'My, but them little buggers is in for a surprise.'" |
