I have been receiving a lot of worried messages asking if I am alright. I am! I am alive! Fear not, lovely readers! However, I have decided to take a step back from fanfiction and begin working on nonfiction and travel writing. I know this means that OTOS will be left hanging, and for that I am truly sorry. I had lots of wonderful ideas and aspirations for that story, but I can no longer write that story with all my heart. I have appreciated all your support, criticism, and zealous reviews. Stay awesome.

UPDATE August 18, 2015

Since July two years ago, two new chapters of OTOS have appeared. I missed Astoria, but I rarely have the time or focus to write, unfortunately. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, though. I wrote the chapters, and I figured that some of you would want to read it. I don't know if there will be any more chapters in the future. I have been distancing myself from fanfiction, and I no longer respond to reviews (which I used to be quite diligent about). So, consider this story to still be discontinued. Even though it was continued. I don't know, guys, stuff happens.

ABOUT MY WORK (and other random things you might want to know)

The Reign of Kellyn Wood: It’s been 24 years since Voldermort has been defeated by the Boy Who Lived and time for a new generation to rock Hogwarts. Meet the dramatic and clever seventeen-year-old Kellyn Wood, daughter of Oliver Wood and Cho Chang. After her father retired from his job as a professional Quidditch player when she was 10, the whole family has lived all over the world. Oliver promises one last move and they end up in back in England where Kellyn and her thirteen-year old brother, Declan Wood, finally attend Hogwarts. They are immediately welcomed, but never-the-less make some enemies too and prove themselves as Quidditch superstars. Scorpius Malfoy, Rose and Hugo Weasley, and James, Albus, and Lily Potter make their debut. All the turmoil is to be expected, after all, they are the new kids. The character's J.K. Rowling created are not mine, but all other characters are mine. COMPLETE

Blame the Squirrel: This is a Chronicles of Narnia fanfic, set after the second departure of the Pevensies. It has been two years since Caspian has been crowned, and things are going smoothly until American-born Oxford student Astra Gorlois unexpectedly stumbles into the Cair Paraval court. Bestowed with a mission by Aslan, Astra opens Caspian's eyes to the world in which he lives in. Filled with humor, romance, and chaos, this story chronicles King Caspian's life as a man and the broadening of his vocabulary. This is obviously my first Narnia fanfic, and I am mostly sticking to what is in the books (versus the movies) with a few exceptions noted in the author's note. I do not own any of C.S. Lewis' characters. COMPLETE

On the Other Side: A Harry Potter fiction to try to make sense how Draco Malfoy ended up marrying the younger Greengrass girl (Astoria). I have recently found the Slytherins extremely interesting because their characters are so blatantly faulted, but yet they are complex and still very human. Writing this has been a challenge for me because they are all very astute characters, have dark pasts, and are emotionally distant, making it difficult to make them likeable in any way. I'm just trying to make sense of them, so it's an exercise in characterization, I suppose. The story begins in Draco's seventh year and ends a few years after the war, but it does jump time for the sake of my sanity. This is my second HP fanfic, but my first Draco/Astoria. MY THEORIES

Constructive criticism is welcome. Many people are on this website to improve/share their writing, and so criticism should be done in a tactful and helpful way. For example, "ur writing sucks" is not constructive criticism. You're just being a jerk behind a computer screen. "I find your characters to be flat. Perhaps consider your characters motives. No one's perfect, so what are your characters' imperfections? I hope you explore this in future chapter and that your characters develop..." is constructive criticism.

Writing is a business with enough rejection. Be honest but not rude, and don't write any review you wouldn't say to someone's face.
