After being betrayed by Kirigaya's group, Elric defects to Urameshi's group, the underdog faction.

Starclan called him there. he didn't know why, but poor confused Edward Elric must find out soon. only a year after things returned to normal and Al got his body, Ed's world had to be turned upside down once again. a freak 'accident' brought about by an unknown alchemist caused disaster for both the brothers and the military. Instead of giving up his alchemy, the Truth sends Ed to a different world, fast-forwarded many years into the future. Alone and determined to find his way back, Ed's interesting endeavours catch the attention of a certain organization called SHIELD.

Edward's fight with Father takes an unexpected turn when Father uses some kind of alchemy on Ed in a last effort to save himself. Ed kicks his butt anyway. Now Ed still has to get Al back, but at what cost? According to truth, Ed has already given something up. his Humanity.
