Hm... It's been so long since I've been here officially. Though I am still amused by some things in my profile, I do believe an update is needed.

So, yes, Riku is still my muse for everything. It's just a truth I've long since accepted. =] I am very happy knowing that my heart will have inspiration even in bouts of writer's block.

So, what have I been up to? Well, mostly I've been lurking about DeviantArt. I went through a drabble phase and I didn't think was a good venue for posting 100 word scenes. I also moved onto a big collaborative story with a very good friend and deeply inspirational writing partner. Broken Requiem has been an awesome experience, and though I'm facing a small block on our current chapter, I am excited about seeing where our re-writes will take us.

Dungeons and Dragons has become a very important influence on my writing, as I have now a handful of characters with deep scars and painful stories to bring to life. I've also started a few crossover stories for my characters and another great friend I've met on dA. =] It's been so much fun.

Another fantastic experience I should mention is my decision to re-write Destiny's Threads of Fate. It went on such a long hiatus, and I realized about a year ago that my unhappiness with the story stemmed from my writing. This was my first story, and as great as it was to start writing with it, I know I had many mistakes and beginner errors and it was frustration with my lack of skill that held me back.

Re-writing this story has been a massive undertaking, especially since my life has gone on; work and trying to develop a career certainly leaves little time for writing, but I've come a long way. In fact, I've already re-posted all of the chapters I had uploaded, and I'm now working on a new chapter to post very soon. For those who have stuck by me all this time, through my eccentric phases, I am truly so grateful. Thank you from every part of my heart.

Take care of yourself and never give up on writing! Even if you meet with frustrations and haters, the best thing to do is seek the constructive in all criticisms and look for ways to always improve. *Hug*
