OMG! I can't believe I've been a member of this site for over 15 years! I must have something seriously wrong with me! I was in high school when I joined and now I'm a middle school teacher! Craziness! I graduated from high school, went to college, got married, graduated from college, got my teaching credential, got a job as a teacher, and bought a house in the time that I've been a member of this site...and I've been writing fanfiction this whole time.

Writing fanfiction is my guilty pleasure. I love it but I almost never let anyone I know read or write it. I've been in this habit since 1998 and I've published before, but those stories have since been phased out with the changing regulations and my own personal neglect. WARNING: If you like what I write, I'll need constant nagging to upload chapters more frequently than every few months. I tend to get lazy with my writing and hang it up on a shelf when I really should be finishing the piece. So nag me if you like one of my stories!

Some more information about me:

I'm a middle school teacher, and yes I love to teach writing. A little twist though is that I LOVE to teach persuasive writing. This is for a couple of reasons. First of all I like to know what my students think about various topics so I can get to know their minds better, and second of all because persuasive writing is easy to teach and easy to do. It's the most structured of writing forms and less intimidating when broken down. As much as I personally love creative writing, it is the most difficult to teach because it is so personal in nature. It is virtually impossible to teach someone how to write from their imagination. About as far as you can get is to say "Imagine something, then write it down exactly as you imagine it." But still, I do try to pry this difficult form of communication out of the little ones for their own good.

I don't get to teach writing as much anymore. In 2011 my teaching assignment changed from English/Math/Science/History to Robotics/Engineering/Computer Tech/VideoProduction. I know. Huge jump, right? The most writing I get to teach now is when I teach about video game design...but that's a whole different writing process! Now, I mostly teach students how to write code instead of writing essays or stories. On the bright side, it means that my creativity has picked up and I'm writing more fanfiction now!

I have a pet cat who acts like a dog.

I was raised in a Star Wars and Star Trek household and know way more than someone my age should know about these two epics.

I don't look like a SciFi geek, but I'm proud to say that I am one.

I love to research the history of the Star Wars universe. I like knowing how their galaxy got the way it was and making the "human connection."

My husband thinks I'm a geek (a sexy one, but still a geek) and he's the complete opposite of me. He's totally into sports (football especially) and being manly. Makes great BBQ though!

A note to all the kids reading this:

I was you once. Do the math. When I was your age, this was one of the very few sites that had fanfiction. I didn't even know that what I was writing was fanfiction until I found this site. Keep writing, it's good for you. The beauty of this site is that you can share your writing, your passion, your fandom without the fear of being criticized or judged because you're too into it. Be kind to the authors on this site. We just want to read and write about the characters we love so deeply that we just can't let their stories end on the screen or in the book. Keep in mind that authors and readers are of all ages. My heart bursts with joy when my students tell me they are reading fanfiction as their independent reading for their English classes because fanfiction has grown in recognition so much. When I was in school I had to give a lengthy explanation of what fanfiction was to my friends, classmates, parents, teachers...everyone...and everyone thought it was weird. Understand the immense privilege you have with the wealth of content that is available to you here and on other fanfiction sites. Understand that there are adults who will recoil and look over their should if your speak the word 'fanfic' out loud because they will expect someone to swoop in with a disapproving look. And that adult will look at you with wonder and pride because, whether you care or know it, you now have a connection. That adult sees in you the freedom that they wish they had had when they were your age.

Sigyn by Baby Doll Stiletto reviews
She is a virtuous and beautiful goddess, whose life is turned upside down by the increasingly destructive antics of the god she loves. I think she gets a bad deal in the comics, and she's not even mentioned in the movies, so this is a story about her relationship with Loki that I hope makes Sigyn alot more complex of a character. Tell me what you think!
