I just realized how utterly horrible my old bio was, so I gave it the delete button treatment. This screen looks horribly blank now.

So, er...hi. My name is Nicole, I'm college student majoring in Editing, Writing, and Media (three of my favorite things, conveniently enough). When I "grow up" I want to be an editor, so if you don't mind letting me practice on you, I'm also signed up on here as a beta reader. I promise that I'm awesome. :D

I haven't actually written fanfiction in years (this might be kind of a lie .), but I do spend an inordinate amount of time on here looking for stories that don't make me want to bash my head against a wall because of their sheer stupidity and severe lack of grammatical correctness (it's an English major thing). Luckily all hope is not lost, as there are quite a few fantastic fanfics to fawn over on this fansite (What? I'm trying to hard with the alliteration? I swear that was unintentional).

I'm quite fond of slash fiction, the Harry Potter series, and parenthetical remarks; when those three things come together, I usually start squealing like the shameless fangirl I truly am. I also like things that are purple, Hello Kitty and all her friends, talking like a lolcat in actual conversation, and...long walks on the beach, I suppose.

I find it quite shocking (in a pleasant sort of way) that I still get reviews and favorites on stories that I wrote 4+ years ago, which I'm really not very fond of anymore. So a couple weeks ago I laid awake at four in the morning mentally chasing a tenacious plot bunny down a wayward rabbit hole, and the result is a story called "Blame It on the Firewhiskey," which I intend to post if I ever get the damn thing finished. I also get a lot of requests to continue on with "Pass It On." You never know...it might happen.

Of course, there's a good possibility none of this will actually happen. I might just slip back into lurking on the stories of more talented writers than myself. But the remnants of my 13-year-old self could not be allowed to remain in existence any longer. You can thank me later. Preferably with lots of chocolate. :P
