Author has written 7 stories for Mass Effect. 08/09/12: if anyone is still reading this (!), I apologise for the lack of updates. Work is monstrous at the moment and writing will have to be on hold for the foreseeable future. I don't know if I'll be able to continue any of the stories at all, so for what it's worth, I'm sorry about that. Take care, folks. Hey everyone, I'm not one for writing verbose essays about myself, so I'll keep this short. I'm just your average 25 year-old who currently lives in Singapore, but recently relocated from the UK, having spent almost a decade there. Yes, that means I spell with an abundance of "u"s and swap "z"s for "s"s. I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with the Mass Effect universe (although due to time constraints, that is pretty much the only game I've played); as you can probably tell by glancing at the character tags in my stories, I write stories which revolve almost exclusively around a Liara/Femshep pairing. Because my creativity is a lamentably limited resource, requests are most welcome; I will do my best to entertain them. Unfortunately, I now update less frequently than I would like (Nova et Vetera used to get updated pretty much every day); this is mainly due to my job, which pretty much dictates my life and has me running around day and night for too many hours a week without prolonged access to a PC. For that, you have my sincerest apologies. I generally try my best not to leave projects hanging, however, so if your patience permits, I will be endeavouring to update my ongoing stories at least weekly (fortnightly if I am on call that particular weekend). I usually have no idea what's going to happen in the next sentence, let alone the next paragraph, however, so if a long interval passes between updates, I am sorry. That's all for now... if you want some extra tidbits about the silly stories I've written, you can read more below. @Salser87 on Twitter, but I'm still getting used to this whole tweeting lark ;) Forever As One is probably the story I like the most. It's the happy ending Bioware teased but never gave us: Liara and Shepard's reunion on Earth following the Reaper War. It's currently on-going, and will chart their diabetes-inducing relationship. It's rated M for sexual content, especially in chapter 4, which was graciously co-authored by my dear friend, T.A. Blackwell. Nova et Vetera is my first piece of fanfiction. It deals with Commander Jessica Shepard, a rough diamond if there ever was one. She's had quite a tragic past, and as such has trust issues, can be pretty abrasive and probably swears a bit too much (well, almost certainly swears a bit too much). However, this is (or will eventually be, depending on where you are in the story) tempered by a certain sweet asari archaeologist who she'll fall head-over-heels for (yes, the description is cheesy like that). You probably won't recognise her by ME3 (errr... if I ever get that far). The story can get pretty dark, although there are funny segments every few chapters to lighten the tone. I write the dark stuff because, well, it's real life. I've seen some terrible things in my line of work, but I've also been privileged to see some really heart-warming acts. My writing will reflect that. |
