Hello! I created this account mostly to indulge in writing and reading some Star Gate fanfic, though I suppose I will probably come across interesting fics in other fandoms along the way. :)

I like big spaceships and self-parodying TV shows. Which explains why I have pretty much loved Stargate ever since the Wormhole Xtreme episode, for all its ridiculous plot holes and weird moments.

Then there was SGA. Now, I have a thing for characters with shady, strange morals or a complete lack of them. I also love Art Nouveau and have a strong interest in biomimicking all sorts. Cue the wraith. They seem to live in some kind of living spaceships designed by Gaudi. I don't think we need to talk about their somewhat strange idea of morality, if you could even call it that. There is that slight food chain problem, but really who cares? They also wear a lot of leather.

There are some things I am somewhat less comfortable with, like the fact that every Ancient is somewhat light-skinned, whereas their second evolution has all sorts of colours. What does this even mean? Did they get bored by their own monotonous colour scheme when engineering our species? Does being advanced automatically make you white? Judging by the Tollana and Nox, apparently in the Stargate universe it usually does. Whoops. Awkward. The way the military is shown and violence all too often used as a way to solve matters also does not always sit well with me.

However, the Goa'uld have a fabulous sense of fashion. There are also talking crystals and Vala Mal Doran. So that makes it kind of worth it.

I am working on a longer story I am not yet happy enough with to post here, but I'm really enjoying reading some of the fanfiction by the authors on this site. If there are any story recommendations you want to share, feel free to message me. :)
