Author has written 15 stories for X-Files, Harry Potter, Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Fifth Element. Hey, everyone. My name is Deva, I'm a college graduate, and I'm a writer. Obviously. I do not write fanfiction anymore, but I have fond memories of writing these stories. I'm leaving them all up, and my old bio, for posterity's sake - so I can refer to them if I want to. But I will not be adding new stories, nor will I add chapters to existing stories. If this is disappointing to you, you can wait for my original fiction to be published. However long that might take. Nevertheless, I am extremely grateful for all of the positive reviews and favorited story alerts that I continue to receive years after I stopped writing fanfiction. Thank you, everyone, for reading my work and for letting me know that you enjoy it. It's what fanfiction.net is here for. I write mostly HP fanfiction, though I've written LOTR, POTC, and WOT as well. I used to be a Ron/Herm shipper, but now I'm so very addicted to Draco/Herm that I can't keep them apart in fics. I am a slash advocate, but I do not really like when Draco and Harry are romantically paired. It just doesn't seem plausible. I do like Ron/Harry. I'm very interested in my new Ginny/Blaise pairing (not that it hasn't been done, just the first time I've used it). Or, in Hermione Malfoy, as "a bisexual and a hermaphrodite". And I happen to have always assumed Blaise was a boy. I never even realized people talked about that. Ships I really, really really really dislike are Fred/George or any other Weasley brother pairing, or any incest at all. That's about as bad as Voldemort/anyone. Speaking of ships, I used Ron/Harry in my fic No Longer An Enemy. Obviously I've gotten mixed responses to it, because some people are very prejudiced and biggoted. To the people whose responses were a more forceful version of "ew", I'd just like to say this: With the arguments you use, it's really hard to take you seriously at all. If you're going to tell me it's "wrong" to put a gay couple in a fic, do both of these things - 1. Try to use a plausible argument. 2. Keep in mind that no matter what you say against homosexuality (or maybe you're just opposed to Ron/Harry?), I'm not going to change the story or my mind. No one is forcing you to read the story. If you like my writing but don't like the Ron/Harry pairing, I've written plenty of other fics that are devoid of it. Go read those instead, and stop making people listen to you WHINE. I've now finished The Negative Side (finally - I had no idea it would take so long), so there's nothing left to wait for there. The only incomplete story I've got up here is "He Walks A Fine Line." I'm very sorry to say that I am unlikely to ever write more of it. I really liked my idea originally, and I certainly intended to finish when I started, but considering how much time has passed I very much doubt that I'll ever come back around to it. If anyone else would like to take what's there and roll with it, be my guest. I relinquish my copyright on that plot, though if you use the writing and claim it's yours I WILL hunt you down. And ringwraiths will stab you with knives - pointy knives - that burn with the fires of a thousand evils. So there. Go on, read something. You know you want to. |
