Author has written 24 stories for Phineas and Ferb, Caster Chronicles, Walking Dead, X-Men, Pokémon, RWBY, Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, Big Hero 6, Spider-Man, and Inside Out. Hi guys! I'm a 18 year old Singaporean dude who was born in USA. I've been a fan of Pokemon since I was 5. My all-time favourite region is Hoenn (my first game was Ruby, the first anime episode I watched that I can remember is from Advanced, the first Pokemon Adventures comic I ever read was issue 21, the Ruby/Sapphire arc.) Naturally, I like all things Hoenn, though recently I've gone into Kalos too. But Hoenn is DABEST. Anyways, this page will now be used as a means of spreading the word, so that you guys are updated as to when stories are going to be released. Let's start. Pokemon: Rise of Evil: Delayed for the time being RWBY is Strange: Delayed till January. Reason I'm putting these two stories on hold is cause I've got a secret story I'm working on. It's gonna be pleasantly surprising Planned stories For Your Entertainment: Just a bunch of random one shots. Expect in December Some Pokefacts about me: Favourite region: Hoenn Favourite type: Tie between Fire and Dragon, so naturally I love Charizard and Reshiram Favourite Pokegirl: Tie between May and Sapphire. I like Serena too, but I love Hoenn too much. I know that May and Sapphire are pretty much the same, but that is actually not true. Sapphire is what May would be if she prefered battling to Coordinating, and that creates a major personality difference. Favourite Pokemon: Tie between (very weird alert) Tyranitar, Metagross, and Skitty. Tyranitar is a badass, Metagross is a badass, and SKITTY IS TOO DAMN CUTE!! YOU HURT MY SKITTY, AND YOU DIE!!!!!! *ahem* sorry, but yeah, I love Skitty. (And before you ask, NO, I DON'T BREED IT WITH WAILORD) Favourite Gym Leader: Liza and Tate. Gym leaders are generally easy to beat. (I've only played firered, ruby and emerald so I may be wrong) So naturally, a duo that wiped the floor with me makes the top spot. BTW I don't mean their R/S versions, cuz in those they only have Lunatone and Solrock, so they aren't that difficult. I mean their Emerald versions, where they have Xatu and Claydol on top of Lunatone and Solrock. I cannot tell you the number of times I reset to battle them. Favourite Team: Team Magma/Aqua...did you seriously expect anything else? Favourtie Pokemon Ship: Advance, Frantic and Hoenn. As much as I like Amourshipping (Serena is hot), it doesn't stack up to my love for Hoenn. Hoennshipping is my least favourite among the three because Brandon and May are video game characters that don't even talk, so I don't feel so attached to them. Advance is my second favourite because, as I'm sure most of you will agree with, the Hoenn seasons of the anime (Advanced, Advanced Challenge, Advanced Battle) were some of the best seasons out there. May was cute and I liked Ash, Naturally, I shipped them. FranticShipping is my all time favourite because of how much the manga shaped my life. After reading volume 21, I immediately waited for 22 to find out what happened to Sapphire. After that, I spent my time reading the remaining comics up to number 39. After finishing Firered and Emerald chapter (Yay, more Franticshipping) I immediately hunted down issues 15 - 20 to complete the Hoenn arcs. And I did. I grew up with Franticshipping, and I love it so, so much because they actually admitted their feelings to each other to make it canon. HUZZAH! Current Favs: RWBY, Pokemon, Sword Art Online, No Game No Life, Attack on Titan Game of Thrones, Hearthstone Fav RWBY Character: Tie between Yang and Neo. Yang's a badass. Neo's a badass who's so badass she kicked the ass of another registered badass. Fav RWBY Ship: I pretty much like the show as it is and don't really think about ships, but if I had to choose, I would say Baked Alaska (Yang x Neo). Fav RWBY weapon: Tie between Ember Celica, Gunchucks and Coco's Handbag. Ember Celica because 1) it's Yang's weapon and 2) I love shotguns. Gunchucks because it's badass as hell, and Coco's Handbag because her Gatling Gun gives me a major boner. Main Hearthstone class: Rogue Fav HS legend: Ragnaros The Firelord Highest Rank ever attained: 15 4 stars. Highest Arena key: 5-3 OTPs Blake X Yang: Season 3, man. THE CLUES!!!!!!! Weiss x Ruby: Come on, they're meant to be together. Yang x Neo: Hey, my mind's a little nuts, so bear with me on this, ok? Ruby x Sapphire: The first ever ship that I've supported. SS Franticshipping is still going strong!!!!!! Ash x May: As explained above, I grew up with all things Hoenn. Selina x Bruce (Gotham): I love Gotham, and knowing who these two become when they grow up, it's fun to see them as kids. Percy x Annabeth: Grew up with the PJO series, read all of them, the Heroes of Olympus series and the Kane Chronicles. Percabeth confirmed so many times over. Blossom x Dexter: Recently read PPGD. Still love it. Daenerys x Me: I'm serious. Come on, looking beyond her flaws, name me one dude out there who doesn't want to bone Khaleesi Kirito and Asuna Eren and Mikasa Favourite Bands As a music fan, I listen to my fair share of artistes and bands. So here, just for you guys to get to know me better, here are my top 5 favourite bands. 5) Let's start with something a bit more recent, shall we? As someone growing with a very rebellious nature, I'm always gonna be arguing with my parents and people around me. So it's always good to know that when I'm down, I can catch up some Simple Plan to know that my life doesn't suck as bad as it may be. Classics like Perfect, I'm Just a Kid, and Welcome to My Life are some are their best stuff from the past, and in the present, Astronaut is a work of art, and Jet Lag is amazing. 4) There's recent, and then there's classic. And you don't get as classic as Queen. Rocking hits like Bohemian Rhapsody and Another One Bites The Dust are reasons to love these guys. Plus, Hail to the King Freddie Mercury, one of the greatest vocal talents ever. 3) Another band to have seemed to make the transition from rock to pop, Fall Out Boy recently worked their way into my hearts. Admittedly I haven't listened to many of their old songs, the oldest song I know being Thanks for the Memories, but their recent songs are amazing. Save Rock and Roll is one of my favourite songs ever, Alone Together is brilliant and Irresistible is...well, irresistible. 2) This one was a tough one. It was between two of my favourite bands who are totally different from one another. In the end, however, I chose the legendary Linkin Park as my number two pick, while sadly Westlife dropped out of the list. But there is a good reason: LP didn't just survive the transition to pop music like FOB, but they managed to that while maintaining their very distinct LP styles. In The End is a classic and one of the best songs ever, Faint is one of my favourite songs, and Final Masquerade is so good. 1) There's legendary, and then there's classic legend. LP may hold my hearts for being so damn good, but ultimately they had some songs I was totally disappointed by. Not so for my first choice, the one and only Bon Jovi. Sorry, Chester, but as good as your vocals are, they cannot match that of Jon Bon Jovi. Living on A Prayer, Always, Bed Of Roses and You Give Love A Bad Name are all legendary songs, and even if you don't know who Bon Jovi is, you know these songs when you hear them. Top 5 Artistes Just a note, most of these are actually YouTube based singers, so yeah. 5) You know what is talent? When you can sing live without Autotune. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Beyonce. Seriously, do I need to tell you guys why I love her? 4) Let me be honest, if it wasn't for my younger sister, I would probably not have heard of this guy. Since she did introduce me to him, let me just say that Shawn Mendes is as talented as can be and is seriously one of the best singers I have heard in a long time. Stitches is just...wow. 3) So who could possibly beat the likes of Beyonce and Shawn Mendes? How about someone who comes up with his own lyrics, did Stiches a capella by himself with some boomsticks, and managed to modify 8 classic Disney songs to make them much more realistic and hilarious? The answer: Jon Cozart (aka Paint). If you don't already know him, go check him out. He is brilliant. 2) You know what I really hate? Artists and bands who, because of the popularity of pop music, decided to abandon their original sounds and move to pop, mostly because they do a horrendous job at it. And while my number 2 spot certainly has her fair share of recent pop music that makes me cringe, I cannot deny that she is one of the few to maintain her sound despite the rise of pop. The great Avril Lavigne will always be one of my favourites, with classics like Complicated, My Happy Ending, Sk8er Boi and Girlfriend. 1) Any fan of RWBY will know the powerhouse vocals behind Casey Lee Williams. Top 5 Contemporary Songs Look, can we all just agree that most of today's songs just can't compare to those of the past? That being said, since tastes change really rapidly, I'm going for songs that I still listen to till today even if they are old, provided they happened in the 2000s. 5) I think we all agree that Demi Lovato is easily one of the best singers right now, and generally a great role model. She's been through so much shit in her life and come back stronger, and I think we can all say that she is one empowering character. So what better way to empower a person than with Skyscraper? Easily one of the best songs and a classic Demi Lovato song, it's fitting for an album titled "Unbroken", and easily one of Demi's best songs ever. 4) Enrique Iglesias doesn't really get much love, I think. True, I haven't really looked him up for a long time, but the few songs he's had are pretty good to me. The one exception to this, in being Iglesias' best song IMO, is the beautiful Hero. Written to commemorate the brave firemen and police officers who sacrificed their lives to save people during 9/11, it's a beautiful song that Iglesias nails. 3) I mentioned LP as one of my all time favourite bands, and that's mostly due to their brilliant songs. So many to choose from, but I think we can all agree that LP has one song that stands above the rest, and that is In The End. Classy beat, great lyrics, neat rap, it's overall a spectacular hit from LP. 2) You know what I always liked? Covers. They're essentially taking a risk with songs that have been done before by talented artistes, so it takes some serious balls to do a cover. While Bonnie Tyler has had some really good hits (Total Eclipse of the Heart, come on!), she never really got me interested in this song. It took a Fairy Godmother and Jennifer Saunders to turn this song into a hit in my book, and that's why Jennifer Saunders' Holding Out For A Hero makes this list. A neat take doing it as an evil fairy godmother, which just makes the song more ironic. Saunders nails the cover while make the song sound more like a dance track than the original. When you're better than the original, you know you did good. 1) Coldplay don't have a lot of songs that I like particularly. Paradise annoys me, Atlas was just meh, and Sky Full Of Stars disappoints utterly. However, when you think of Coldplay, this legendary song instantly comes to mind, a song that transcends everything else for being totally awesome. Ladies and gentlemen, Viva La Vida. This song is the Living On a Prayer of Coldplay; you definitely know this song one way or another, and for good reason. Top 5 Classics. Oh man, now we're getting to the good stuff. I like a lot of very mainstream songs, and dislike heavy metal and rock to a certain extent. Also, I'm only picking one Bon Jovi song from this list because if not, this whole list except one would be a list of Bon Jovi songs 5) Remember how I mentioned Bonnie Tyler in the previous list? Well, she has lots of other songs that I like, but I particularly enjoy the one song that introduced me to Bonnie Tyler, and that's Total Eclipse of the Heart. The slow beat, accompanied by brilliant vocals from Tyler, and the quick pickup in pace makes this song excellent. 4) When you think of classics, most people might think about rock classics like Highway to Hell or whatever Led Zepellin sang. For me, I always turn to ballads, so why don't we go with one of the best ballads, while also being really annoying after listening for too long, and about two people who fall in love on a boat that we all know is gonna sink. Yes, I'm talking about My Heart Will Go On. As really annoying the songs gets after a while, it's still pretty good the first time you hear it, and it's even more beautiful when you watch Titanic. 3) How do you make an instant hit? Merge different genres of music together. Certainly Queen had their fair share of songs that differed from their rock roots, and none of them take it more than Bohemian Rhapsody. A merge between different genres from ballads to rock to opera, accompanied by a brilliant piano sequence and the King's vocals, and you, my friend, are going to love this song. 2) Wow, this one was a very very hard choice. First off, I had to choose this song from all of Bon Jovi's songs, and then I had to compare it with my other songs to see where they fit while trying my level best to be as objective as possible. After a lot of deliberation, I came to the conclusion that ultimately, Bed of Roses simply has to be Bon Jovi's best song. This one was a hard choice between Always and Bed of Roses, but Always lost out just because the live versions of this song aren't as compelling or as good as Bed of Roses. A really really beautiful piece that is deceptively hard to sing, but I tried. So here are some honourable mentions before we reveal number 1 Wind Beneath My Wings--Bette Midler All other Bon Jovi songs We Will Rock You--Queen Heal The World--Michael Jackson The Real Slim Shady--Eminem 1) This was really really close. I wanted to put Bed of Roses here, but I cannot deny that this song is still much better. When you think of Sylvester Stallone, the first thing people think of is Rocky Balboa. And when you mention Rocky Balboa, it's impossible not to reference or even mention him without that trademark sound of the guitar strumming, slowly building up to a crescendo...and then the loud, instantly recognizable guitar riff that makes you want to drop everything and go to the gym to work out. Yes, I am talking about Eye Of The Tiger. |
