![]() Author has written 104 stories for Halo, Transformers/Beast Wars, Codename: Kids Next Door, Red vs. Blue, Ben 10, Detentionaire, and RWBY. Update (1/18/2020): News round up: I currently have one semester left before I get my BA. Taken a bit but I'm both excited and nervous for what happens next after everything is said and done. So to those wondering why I don't update as frequently as I used to, its because I've been busy and writing for other things to the point of burn out. But to those eagle eyed readers taking a gander at this here profile would no doubt notice there's a neat little 'In Development' section with story ideas and concepts lingering down below so you can see what may be coming down the pipeline soon or not, I don't know as I have six drafts for the bloody first chapter for that X-Men story sitting on my computer because I'm so dissatisfied, but I digress. The past couple of months I've gotten real into more fantastical fiction. It first began with me going into Vertigo's backlog and acquiring complete runs of both Hellblazer and Alan Moore's Swamp Thing. From there, I spring-boarded into Neil Gaiman's The Books of Magic and fell in love with it, so much so that I tracked down the trades of John Ney Rieber's run and am currently in the process of tracking down the single issues for Peter Gross'. I jumped ahead and picked up Dylan Horrocks' complete run on Hunter: The Age of Magic, thouch I have yet to acquire his preceding miniseries The Names of Magic. Now, you're probably wondering just what the hell any of this has to do with anything at all? Well, the thing is I also recently just got into Harry Potter as well, big shocker that one to most people who may know me or not given the circles I've run with in the past. So, The Books of Magic were essentially the gateway drug for me to get into Harry Potter, the last little knock in the mental blocks that've prevented me from actively seeking out and accepting Harry Potter into my life. So expect something in the near future, either a The Books of Magic story that is greatly influenced by Harry Potter, or rather a Harry Potter story that is greatly influenced by The Books of Magic. Update (5/21/2019): I feel like whenever I set out to write a story, my goals are too ambitious. So, I think by now people have noticed I haven't updated Ben 10: Unbound in a good long while. That story is a victim of circumstances beyond its control. I had begun writing it at a point in my life when things were just changing, so much so that the story legitimately would be pushed from my mind while I dealt with more pressing matters. I'd gone into it gung ho, but life got in the way again and again, because every time I remembered that it was a thing, life would throw another curve ball at me and force me to attend to other matters. Now, while I would like to continue writing that story, I just don't have the drive to do so. I'm sorry, but Ben 10: Unbound will not be moving forward. Now, in regards to the Kids Next Door stories, I won't be continuing any of Legends or KND: Universe. I posted a synopsis on what would have transpired in the thirty plus story series of Legends in the KND Fanfiction Wiki for those interested in seeing what would have been. KND: Universe is a victim of the same sort of circumstance that befell Ben 10: Unbound, I hit that point in my life when things were changing and I just couldn't keep up with it, even if there were basically three chapters left in the series. Reviewing my old notes and drabbles about the ending, I can't say I'm proud of where it was heading anyways. The Darkling Thrush has been on hiatus for almost a year. Some may be thinking it might be cancelled, maybe? Well its not. I've just been really busy with college. I want to keep working on it, but I'm at a point where I also want to be done with it. Because lets face it, its been one gigantic slow burn. We're 300,000 words in and we're only now past the first act of a 3 act series. So, I'm currently reevaluating my options as so I could tell this story without neutering it. Last year I wanted to start a Persona 3 story. Scratch that, I started a Persona 3 story. But I kept on going back to the drawing board over it. I literally have a folder on my computer that's filled with first chapter drafts. I doubt this will ever materialize. There was also an Assassin's Creed story in the works, but that's more of a long term project that really isn't worth mentioning in too much detail other than it was to be set in the modern era in the years before and after the Purge. I also began working on a DC project that year as well, that too didn't materialize. I have a great reverence for DC and its catalog of characters, so I've got another folder filled with drafts. Moving on to more recent prospects, I've got a Marvel project in the works. I've been trying to get back into X-Men over the past 8 months. It hasn't gone too well. So, the story is pretty much a reaction that. This project will only see the light of day if I have between 25-35 chapters in the bucket. That's a very tall order. But, again, I'm ambitious. Maybe a little too ambitious. And currently on my outline 35 chapters is pretty much the first act of a 5 act saga of massive proportions.
