Once more, another prequel to Out of Mind. These prequels are to just let you all know who the main characters are and their place on the team.

"So these the new recruits?" David asked Bruce.

"Yes…they are." From within the Delightful Children HQ, the two brothers watched as the new recruits ran drills.

"So we just going to let them join without sufficient background checks?" David asked a bit skeptical on the idea.

"We've screened them…nothing that suggests ties to the KND" Bruce answered.

"So where's the rest of our A Team?" David asked.

"Death's Head and Garfield are working on their equipment with Lenny" Bruce then turned to the sparing circle "Ashley is…testing the others."

"Come on Sharkface" Ashley taunted the helmeted pilot "is the only reason you're here because Hocus can't fly everyone around?"

Ashley caught the pilots fist and flipped him on his back.

"Give up?" she asked.

"…Yes" the helmeted boy grunted as Ashley helped him up.

"Now, now Sharkface, don't be a sore loser" a girl named Amber said to the pilot. Behind his visor, Sharkface shot Amber a dirty look.

"Ok then" Ashley said catching everyone's attention "who's next?"

"I am!" a girl wearing a ninja outfit jumped into the circle.

"Josie, as hyper as ever" Ashley said getting into her fighting stance.

"Is it against the law to be excited about this rematch?" Josie smirked as she got into her fighting stance.

"Begin" Amber said causing the two to lunge at the other.

"Go for the neck!" an enthusiastic boy wearing a base ball cap cheered.

"Now that ain't right Connor" a boy with blonde hair and keypad gauntlet said.

"Hey it ain't a crime to be enthusiastic Darius" Connor responded just as Ashley flipped Josie on her back.

"You're an idiot Connor" a girl with short brown hair rolled her eyes as Ashley dodged a punch from Josie.

"And you're a spiteful brat Natalie" Connor retorted as Josie blocked Ashley's kick.

"Guys, guys stop it or I'll go and get that robot with the battle ax" Darius said causing Connor and Natalie to turn pale as Ashley caught Josie's kick.

"Come on Josie…that the best you got" Ashley panted.

"You…you wish" Josie panted. Josie then fell forward onto the floor exhausted. "Ok…I'm done."

"Ha I'm still the best" Ashley shot her fists into the air before falling forward.

David couldn't help but laugh, "Ha! Lord have mercy they fought themselves to sleep!"

"Hey Robert" Darius walked over to a boy sitting alone.

"Yes Darius" the boy spoke softly.

"You see your sister she took on Ashley and almost one" Darius exclaimed.

"Darius…where's your keypad?" Robert asked, noticing Darius' keypad missing.

Darius' eyes shot open as he looked at his wrist, his keypad gone. "Where the heck did it go?"

Robert averted to his eyes to his sister then back to Darius. "Who always 'finds' misplaced items?"

"Why your sister of…course" Darius thought for a moment before the information fully processes in his head "son of a door knob!" Darius ran off towards Josie who got back off the ground and ran away.

"Hrn…cute" Death's Head murmured catching Garfield Schurr's attention.

"You say something Death?" the boy with bandages asked the robot.

"Nothing."

"Hocus is your bird ready for lift off?" Bruce said into his communicator.

"Yes sir, my birds ready for lift off if Sharkface don't mind me flying for you guys" Hocus responded from the landing bay.

"Good, it's time to make our first move" Bruce frowned at the thought of liberating a school.

"Where too boss?" the pilot asked as she put her helmet on.

"Oregon, one of the schools there was one of the first to be taken over by the KND."

"Bout time for a vacation for them, eh?"

"More than you know Hocus, more than you know."
