I live in the Midwest. Flyover country. I know Dorothy and have lived through tornados.

I've dabbled in writing for years and love to do it -- whether I'm good at it or not, I can't say. I'd like to think I am, but wouldn't everyone? Being a paid writer is the dream, after all. I am also a theatre kid and very much approach writing fiction from that point of view. I love getting into a character's head and trying to figure out what makes them tick. I try to look at everything as a scene and make logical choices and preserve continuity and so on and so forth. It's fortunate then that, so far, my inspiration has come from television and film since (generally) the same things are attempted there. I watch a lot of both, so I suppose it all makes sense!

I am also an animal lover and am currently in grad school pursuing a very unconventional degree that fits my unconventional life.
