So, completely revamping this profile several years later, as the muse (tentatively) pops her head up to let me know we'd like to try finishing Tenebrea. I'm probably going to scrap or severely chop down several plotlines so that the readers who are still interested can read the conclusion. Lunamax now has a kiddo of her own, and won't be around to help with the beta work, so I am also looking for a beta reader. Without one, I'll simply publish as is, and hope you'll excuse the lack of polish both time and missing my fellow writer brought to the work.

About me: I'm a 32 year old wife and mother of two. I've been writing compulsively since high school, but never for anyone but myself. Always prefer to write from the first person POV, since I love getting into the characters heads and finding out how they think in a situation. Often, I'm surprised by what I find, and even more by what the muse (she's a fickle lady!) puts to paper through me. I am also a non-practicing Wiccan who cannot stand intolerance in any form. And to clarify, criticism and debate do not denote intolerance; hating someone simply for expressing themselves in a manner you don't like does. This also means that you can BET I love criticism and critiques, and try very hard to use them to improve my work.

Why I write: I write as a way of expressing emotion, of getting out of my system the frustrating running dialogue that is always in the back of my mind. I also strongly believe that a relationship has to develop over a thousand little events, a thousand obstacles or shared insights. I try to make my writing reflect this. It helps that I have an incredibly mindless job that gives me plenty of time to work through plot elements.

Having an innate love and passion for the written word helps too.

I'm also a very avid Mass Effect addict.

Book Series I love: I am constantly reading new series, but there are certain books that can influence you in ways that last beyond the endnotes. For me, these are: The Study Series- Maria V. Snyder, The Beekeeper's Apprentice (and all associated works)- Laurie R. King, The Lord of the Rings (been a fan since I was 10)- JRR Tolkien, The Paladin of Shadows- John Ringo, The Darkest Powers series- Kelley Armstrong.

Movies/Shows I adore: Pirates of the Caribean, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Castle, Dark Angel, Burn Notice, The Holiday, Covert Affairs, Royal Pains, In Plain Sight, Full Metal Alchemist, What Not to Wear, White Collar, Alphas, and The Boondock Saints to name just a few. I have a rat-trap brain when it comes to films. Anything that is well acted/written that is character driven will usually pull me under it's spell for a while.

Games I'm in love with: The Mass Effect franchise, Mirror's Edge, Assassin's Creed, Alan Wake, Left 4 Dead franchise, KOTOR, Borderlands, Elder Scrolls (I've lost several months of my life to these games), and Halo.
