Wow! I really need to update this! But it's kind of funny seeing these notes after so long a hiatus from fanfiction. I am now back and writing Soul Eater fan fiction which is hilarious because I wasn't that impressed with the anime, but something about the characters and setting grabbed my imagination.

I love romance that is not necessarily physical but involves a deep connection and trust between people so I often find myself most enjoying romances involving kids. I think "true love" can happen at any age and is often the product of a deep, long lasting friendship. The movie "A Little Romance" is a good example of this- to me it is the ultimate in romantic!! Also, "Whispers of the Heart"- if you like Maya/Phoenix these are two movies you may enjoy as well. I often get in arguments with more conventional sorts of people who want to point out age differences or age as a reason something can't be love. I figure most of those people have never been lucky enough to recognize love when it came along or they never opened themselves up to it at all.

About my stories:

I am writing a story arc that starts after the end of Apollo Justice. The arc explores the pairings of Maya and Nick as well as Polly and Vera, but also focuses on Apollo's relationships with his new family. Unfortunately, I seem unable to write the events in chronolorical order so to help readers out here is the order and some background on each thing I've posted so far. So, far everything I've written has been from Polly's perspective, but I may be writing some other things that fit in the timeline that are from another perspective. I haven't decided whose yet- maybe Maya.

My Interlocking Stories (in chronological order): Note some stories overlap so I've indicated when they finish if they are complete and overlap other stories.

The Nature of Devotion my kinky NC-17 love story about Miles and Franziska that starts before Phoenix loses his badge. While Nick and Maya have their secret love affair on the other side of the Atlantic Ms. von Karma and Edgeworth have their own. This story is episodic in nature and isn't necessarily designed to be read start to finish. I intentionally have not given things times and dates so I can play with the time line, but I know where their relationship begins, where it is by the time Apollo Justice comes into his own, and several of the major challenges along the way. Themes in the series are uncertainty over sexuality and the importance (?) of monogamy and overcoming insecurities and past tragedies to find true love... see even rated M stuff can be sweet...hot and sweet

So Much Left Unsaid A story bridging the worlds of Our Secret Mission and The Nature of Devotion in which Nick and Miles try to come to terms with their relationship and their relationships with the most important women in their lives.

Our Secret Mission- Hobo Nick and Maya make a pact to see each other annually after admitting their feelings for one another. Contradicts some of the tone and one or two facts presented in "A Little Push" I'm not really sure what I want to do about that so at this time they both remain in the same story arc. This is complete and a fluffy sequel from Nick's POV is in the works.

Breathless-Kristoph Gavin plots the demise of the Mishams prior to the beginning of Apollo Justice

Welcome to the Family Polly moves in with the Wrights at their office, Meets Maya and has to defend Vera against her forgery charges. Right now this isn't complete, because I'm struggling to write Vera's trial.

A Little Push A secret causes Maya and Nick to evaluate taking their relationship to the next level

Chicken Soup for Vera focuses primarily on Apollo's romance with Vera who is living upstairs and is under house arrest.

Color Theory a fluffy little Polly/Vera story

Stolen Angel Vera is kidnapped and Apollo and his "family" work to bring her back and discover what truly happened to her

Flashback- the Sequel to Stolen Angel This picks up about a month and a half after Stolen Angel. Polly and Vera are still living together when Vera experiences a severe flashback that lands her in the hospital and she refuses to come home challenging Apollo's devotion to her.

Night with an Angel a fluffy one-shot about Polly/Vera at the Gatewater for a might of romance.

Cleaning the Slate Vera is offered a way to clear her criminal record and Polly and her disagree about it.

The Things We Do For Love Focuses on Apollo's life while Vera is away and the changes taking place for Nick and Maya.

Polly's Secret This story focuses on Trucy and Apollo's friendship and Apollo's past as a foster kid and happens during Vera's time away.

Why I Felt Compelled to Write Them:

I love the Phoenix Wright games and Nick and Maya and was praying they would end up together so it was hard playing Apollo Justice without her in it. I figured that her absence and the distance between them was what accounted for Phoenix's rather strange behavior and I felt I couldn't let it go. I needed to make it right. I'm probably a little too involved (Maya is a lot like me), but there is a duality to my personality that makes me like Apollo, too. Maya is my optomistic, silly side and Apollo is my more cynical side.

About Vera and Polly: My cute couple

I am sure that someone out there will think that I have written Vera out of character, but I wanted to make Vera and Polly's romance distinctly different from Nick and Maya's. While, Vera is portrayed as very young and innocent in the game I felt like what she would really want to do in the future was assert her independence in a safe environment. I also see Apollo as much more mature than Nick was at that age, perhaps even than Phoenix is now in some ways. I absolutely adore Maya/Nick but I feel other people have written their story so well that I have it more as a secondary theme and have chosen to focus on Apollo's romance. House arrest may be a good way for her to transition to regular life. I see her as having sensory issues where she may literally feel attacked by certain colors, sounds, or textures that don't agree with her.

About Miles and Franziska: My kinky couple

Miles and Franziska are probably the most controversial pairing I write about not just because of their status as adopted siblings, but also because I've chosen to honor the fandom that Miles has had feelings for Phoenix. Personally, I have NEVER seen those two as an item, but when I started writing Our Secret Mission I felt like throwing in some one-sided Miles-likes-Nick observations into Maya's narrative and then...well there was no going back. I see Franny's whip as a comfort item and a way she externalizes internal emotions. I blush something terrible when I write their stories because I don't even like reading graphic sex...but I feel their issues demand this kind of narrative so I hope somebody out there is enjoying it :)

About Polly and Trucy: My uncouple

I will be having some fun with Apollo's insecurities about his feelings for Trucy at some point...

In the Works: a story about Apollo escorting trucy to a school dance, Nick's POV for So Much Left Unsaid, an OOC story about Apollo gone bad and several other ideas. I have been strongly encouraged to continue Breathless and will probably be doing so as an AU story as it stands now Breathless is a disturbing but real part of the Polly/Vera story arc and will only diverge into an AU later on.
