![]() Author has written 4 stories for Avengers. Hello. I'm LJ, a normal Midgardian living on, er, Midgard (oops, contradictory penname alert) who harbours a great interest for the following: Music (U2, Muse, Coldplay), Doctor Who, Merlin, Norse Mythology, Marvel's Avengers and Thor (Thor comics esp.), Tom Hiddleston, Shakespeare and horses. I just felt like adding the fact that I like horses on there. There was really no reason for that. Anyway. I like writing, even if I don't think I'm that great at it. It's more a case of me coming up with some dramatic movie plot (considering I aim to become a film director) and trying to turn it into a story, but most of the time it doesn't quite work. I'm a sucker for dramatic revelation and/or confrontation scenes and all the beef between Loki and Odin fuels most of my creative ventures. My characters tend to be a healthy mix of movie!verse and mythology!verse, the movieverse is easy to imagine and you have the established relationships, and the mythology simply serves as a base for my Nordic characters. They're badass. Loki's an evil little snake (although with redeeming qualities - he's charming, and does make an attempt to compensate for his wrongdoings with a little persuasion courtesy of Mjolnir), Thor's ridiculously arrogant, slightly stupid in regards to strategising and thinks the human race are below him and Odin is a greedy-ass, selfish, slightly corrupted king (and Loki's brother, but we'll forgo that for the sake of normalcy). Also, I get to throw in a random assortment of brothers including Baldr and Tyr. It's a field trip. However, the whole Norse mythology bases are a recent development that are not visible in any of my 4 stories thus far... oops. I do have a few Movie/Mythology-based plots in the works, however, and they'll be completed before I even begin to post them. I'm failing at keeping regular updates whilst making up chapters as I go. I am a spontaneous writer, and that comes with the downside of thinking that you can write a decent, 3000 word chapter in the 25 minutes you have before you go to bed at stupid o'clock and realise you have school the following day. I don't even know why you're reading this, but have, er, a Loki-hug! if you read this far. I have 3 big-ish, multi-chapter stories with one little tidbit that was a result of a caffeine fuelled spot of writing at 1AM due to a fandom party on tumblr. Saviour or Destroyer is on a hiatus, purely because I started writing it, got to a point where I had no plot, and it fell apart. Moral of the story: at least try to make a believable plot. Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey is my little baby right now, although I think I've lost control of the characters a bit. Oops. Well, writing is one big experiment, is it not? Anyway, it concentrates on redeemed!Loki working with the Avengers to regain control of the Tesseract; she's misbehaving and it's turning into one big time-and-alternate-dimension-travelling nightmare. Features Thor having major doubts about repairing his relationship with Loki. Loki: King of England? was also a caffeine-fuelled spot of writing at 1AM, although it happened to turn into a proper story of sorts. It's a spin-off from WWTW, so same situation, same characters but a whole lot more focus on the funny side of alternate-reality travelling. *NOT a sequel! That would be utterly pointless. Publishing a sequel before the story's finished? An unique perspective, perhaps, but not what I plan to do.* Erm. Yeah. So. That's about it. Until next time, Adieu! |
