They're ideas that get into my brain and won't leave me alone until I write them down and share them. I realize that some of them are kinda stupid, but please read and review them anyway. I'm very, very proud of my fics, and I really want to hear what you guys think. Some of them aren't finished because my thoughts get interrupted, or there may not have been as many ideas for a plot as I thought I had. If you really, really like a story and it hasn't been updated in a really long time, maybe you'd like to help me out. I could PM you some of my thoughts and any unfinished writing I have written, and maybe you can help me finish the chapter. A lot of my chapters are very, very long. If you don't have the patience to read them, I'm sorry. That's just how I write. I do not beta! Look, writing proper English is my job, and I want to consider myself "off the clock" when I'm online. I don't want to worry about grammar or word choice or any of that stuff. My grammar is pretty good anyway, but I do slip up a little, especially when my ideas get ahead of my typing. Sometimes it's on purpose. I don't read a lot of fanfiction, mostly because I don't have time to wade through it all. If you've written a story that you think I'll like based on my interests, send me a PM and I'll give it a look. Just please keep in mind these: Dislikes in fanfiction: Romantic pairings--I really don't care who's infatuated with who. I'm a lot more interested in plot and character development. I guess there are a few exceptions, like continuing a great romantic relationship that's in the canon. And I'm absolutely not interested in same sex pairings. Profanity--I can stand it, but it still makes me uncomfortable. This includes taking the Lord's name in vain. Sex and Sexual Innuendos Bathroom humor Violence Gore--I just can't stomach those things, especially when they're too over the top. A little more info on my fics: Most of my earliest fics are Samurai Jack fanfics. I thought a lot of them are pretty good, for my first fics. Some of them are incomplete (Jack Myths, Tender Hearts) because the idea well ran dry when the show just suddenly stopped. If you want to help, feel free. And by the way, "No Place Like Home" is based more on the book "The Wizard of Oz" than the movie. "The One Who You Fear" is a Harry Potter crossover. I wrote it after book 4, and there's another version that's written more in keeping with book 5 on the Harry Potter fanfiction site . "Harry Potter and the Prince of the Enchanted Forest" is based on Patricia C. Wrede's "Enchanted Forest Chronicles," which I listed above. If you haven't read those books, please do! In some ways, it's better fantasy than Harry Potter. "A Christmas of Enchantment" is also based on those books. "Song of the Muse" is probably my greatest pride and joy. It started out as a Static Shock fic, but then it became more of a Teen Titans fic, and some other superheroes make an appearance. It tells the tale of Precious Swan Llewellyn, also known as the Muse, a superhero that can make her imagination come to life. I have a number of unfinished chapters, if anyone would like to give me a hand and keep this story going. I may come back to the Muse to bring in the Flash and possibly Arrow. "Spectrum" is a lot like "Song of the Muse," only it's a "Heroes" crossover, and it has a lot more original characters and angst. I was rather proud of this one. It takes place a year after Season 1, but it was written in between Seasons 1 and 2, so some details aren't very accurate. I was working on Vol. 2, but then the Writer's Strike cut the season short, and I hit Writer's Block pretty bad. I wrote several sequels even though I was one of the very few people paying attention to Heroes because I couldn't get them out of my head. It's disappointing that they're not reviewed as much as the first one. I was working on a final volume, but then my flashdrive broke, and I decided not to finish it because it wasn't getting any reviews either, and I just took it down. I still have those ideas, though, and if you really want to see them please give me a holler. "Mr. Monk was my Landlord" was put on hiatus because everything I've been writing for it just seemed random. I thought about taking it down since fanfiction.net got stricter on its rules on format. About "Mr. Monk Meets his Nemesis," I wrote the first chapter two thirds of the second chapter, and a half of the final chapter, and then "Forgotten Hope" just took over my consciousness. I kinda finished it hastilly before the season 7 premiere, just to get it out of the way. It's not very accurate because they didn't do what they thought they were going to do. "Reflection" is a one-shot fic about a young Claude Rains meeting Adam Monroe. It's got only one review! I know, it's not great, but come on, give it some love! I'd really love to see some more reviews for my Fringe one-shots as well. "The Lion, the Witch, and the Keyblade"--Told after Kingdom Hearts 2, because I really wish they did a Narnia world. "Final Fantasy VII--Resurrections": This is a collaboration with another fanfiction.net writer, Moiranne Rose. It's my sequel/alternative to "Advent Children," which basically means it's what I thought "Advent Children" would be, and it wasn't. In this fic, the Lifestream is working in reverse, and many people who died are coming back to life. Is this a great blessing, or a prelude to doom? The answer might be wrapped in a riddle or a mysterious sword. Only the Lifestream knows where it's going, and Cloud and the others are determined to find its destination. I never finished it because my co-writer and I had a falling out, but if anyone would like to help me finish it, I'd appreciate it. "The Wages of Sin": A Final Fantasy X retelling from a character you may not expect. (I kinda pushed those ideas to the side until I finish the FFVII fic. In the end, Writer's block got me.) "The Missing Mollies, or Mr. Monk Meets Mr. Holmes"--I got this idea when I realized there are two people named "Molly" in my two favorite detectives lives. I had to have them meet. I've had a few people say they were confused about the ending. I'll give you a hint--watch the episode where Monk meets his dad. "The Best Part, or Mr. Monk Has a Guest"--Sequel to "Missing Mollies," where I try to address what I had in mind with that ending. By the way, I just read some details from this year's Comic Con that confirmed that both of these stories are an AU. They just wouldn't work, but I guess that makes sense; these stories wouldn't crossover anyway since "Monk" is cancelled. "Neurotypical" --I always wanted Alphas to do a story about Gary's dad since didn't see him, but they're never going to now, so I did. I address a controversial matter that means a lot to me that make it a bit more graphic. "Mp3 File"--This is probably the fic I care about the least, but I just kept wondering why Gary didn't go after Nikki when she left since he was the only one she couldn't push. I wish I had written more Alphas fics since this probably was my favorite show. Current Projects and Coming Attractions: "The Forgotten Enchanted Forest Chronicles"--This is an Enchanted Forest/Once Upon a Time crossover. Since the characters of the TV show are calling the fairy tale world the Enchanted Forest, I wondered if there are EFC characters in Storybrooke. I want to keep writing for this because I still have more ideas, but this story only has one review and barely any hits. I guess it's because EFC is not as popular as it could've been. I may write a Big Bang Theory fic. I tried a couple of times. I once tried to write one about Sheldon and Amy, but the show went a different direction than where my thoughts were going. I've been thinking some about a story where a minor character follows Sheldon around and takes notes about a day in the life of Sheldon Cooper, but not for the reasons he thinks. Anyway, please read what I've got, and please, please, please review! Even if you just want to add me to your favorites (stories or author), PM me and tell me what you like. |
