The Jumble Book chapter 8 . 5/18/2014
I love aspie!/autistic!Lock stories, this ones great, particularly enjoy how you've written his parents. I had a similar experience with a friend with Asperger's, they said they needed to tell me something, really built it up like it was going to be a massive revelation. I think they may have even been a bit disappointed that I wasn't shocked, haha!

I digress, awesome fic!

sunsethill chapter 8 . 10/10/2013
Insightful ending. Lovely story. I think I feel a little sorry for Mummy, but she obviously is enormously capable and the Holmeses probably wouldn't have survived if it weren't for her.
sunsethill chapter 3 . 10/10/2013
Oh, yes. Pity any nannies hired to raise Mycroft and Sherlock. Huh, do we need a Mary Poppins/Sherlock crossover? No, probably not!
Anonymoustache chapter 1 . 10/4/2013
This is awesome! I love the way you've portrayed him...so much like the show! I don't have Asperger's, but I am ADHD/ADD, so this really speaks to me. If that doesn't sound too weird. XD
Archet chapter 4 . 9/26/2013
Oh my gosh I WANT Sherlock's bedroom!

*moves bed into the wall and breaks something*

*panic attack*
To SJO chapter 8 . 8/20/2013
The word used in the fic was "neuroAtypical", which has the opposite meaning of "neurotypical". "NeuroAtypical" does not, however, equal "autistic", and encompasses other types of neuroAtypicalities. Therefore, the use of the word was correct.
jbug chapter 8 . 8/20/2013
OMG! This was awesome! I loved it.
Writer24601 chapter 8 . 8/19/2013
I love your story! I especially like Sherlock's dad. :)
SJO chapter 8 . 8/19/2013
I think usually neurotypical means non-autistic. At least, it does in the autism community. I tried to use it to apply to other mental disorders but was told that they were still neurotypical because their brains were still not affected on a neurological level the way autistic people are. I don't quite understand it because I certainly think other mental disorders should be considered in the neurodiversity movement. Maybe Sherlock doesn't know that. "Alphas" is different, of course, because evidently there it means "without an Alpha ability." Oh well, it's something I'm continuing to ponder.
He could discuss this with another term I've heard mentioned in Disability Studies, or some form of it-TAB, or Temporarily Abled-Bodied. It just means anyone who is not disabled can become disabled at any time due to accident or other extreme circumstances. John would certainly respond to that because the war did something to him.
