I really liked this. You captured the characters so well. Nice.

This was a great concept and fairly well done but it was also kinda poorly written at the same time. I hate to complain because there are so few Parenthood fics on this site at all, and some are worse, but... like Hank said mean kids did "awesome" stuff to him and I think you meant "awful".. .you had a few typos and just awkwardly worded sentences especially near the beginning of the narration: "Max asked Hank this while working on some photography project" - "some" being more conversational than what probably should be written in a fic, and really it'd just flow much better in your story if you said "while Max was working on a photography project in Hank's studio, he asked him, "What were you doing in Dr. Pelikan's office?" - not writing the whole explanation AFTER the sentence. And then you went even further back in time with "Hank ran into him..." but it really should've, at the very least, been "Hank had run into" if it was gonna flow right. I am sorry for complaining.

All that being said, I really enjoyed reading this oneshot. It was, overall, pretty well done and you're right, a scene like this should've happened on the show this season - the whole thing with them taking Max to see the doctor after the canteen incident even would make sense and running into Hank - I could totally see that happening.
