Great work. I like it. Catch ya on the flip side.

I like the ending, I think he handled it well, you really kept Gary in character which I imagine can be quite hard to do with his personality quirks and excentricities.

I've never seen a PSA at the end of a fic before but I think it's a great idea, so many fics have warnings in the summary or opening A/N about all of the horrific things that they are going to discuss and authors often note that they mean no harm by writing about these topics and offer sympathy and support for anyone who is a victim of the mentioned situations but I've not seen anyone post information that can lead to help. Fantastic idea

Ooh, again I didn't see that reaction from Cam coming. I think I sort of anticipated him struggling to see the situation between Gary and his dad with Cam being a father himself but I didn't for a second think that he's suggest Gary forgive Alex.

I thought it was a good way to go with it though, I personally don't agree with holding grudges and such, too much energy burned up on nothing and too many emotions held onto and stored up when they don't need to be, so I like that you had that way of thinking feature in your story.

What's got Hicks' going? He's having an unusual reaction to this. I don't know if I think it's a guilty reaction or a sympathetic reaction, like he was in a similar situation too... :S

I'm not sure what it was that I expected his dad to have done but it certainly wasn't that!

What did his dad do?! I'm so intrigued!

I had an inkling that it was going to be his dad that he'd seen in the crowd.

This story was AMAZING! I've always wondered about Gary's father, and this is an amazing explanation.

Secondly, I'm on the autism spectrum, and I entirely understand how we can be looked down on or hated due to our condition. I'm glad to find someone who doesn't immediately write us off as mentally ill or crazy, and looks for the good in those with autism. :)

All in all, the story was TERIFFIC, and its message even more so.
starlyte2 chapter 5 . 10/29/2013
Great history of the sadness that autism can bring to those who can't understand it. I had an autistic kid as a neighbor for a while, but we communicated, and I considered him as a person. Every one else considered him as a thing that wasn't more than a piece of furniture. Strange, but he was a nice kid, when you saw him as a kid.
