I've been addicted to some fandom or another ever since I learned to spell Internet. It started with The X-Files, although I was a fan of Star Trek back when only sci fi writers dreamed of people owning their own computers. Yes, I'm that old. I even remember watching the Outer Limits when it originally aired. And for the record, my screen name, FoxPhile, is NOT an homage to Fox Mulder. The thing that drew me into the Internet more than anything else was when I found out that there were people out there writing stories. Stories about my favorite characters that I could read for FREE. Blew me away. And I've been an insatiable reader ever since. I'm not a prolific writer. I've written a few things for TXF as well as some Stargate-SG1 fics. Although none of those are posted here. I might consider adding a few of the better ones sometime. I was deeply involved in CSI: NY, and a dedicated DL shipper for a while, although it's hard to keep a ship obsession going after the show is gone. My latest obsessions are: The Big Bang Theory and the absurdity and fabulous-ness that is The Shamy. Scorpion and the Waige / Quintis / Melvester triumvirate of ships. |
