THE STALKAGE http:/// - My Livejournal http:/// - DeviantArt Account About The Leptos Universe: Consists of: Limos, Leptos and Orexis (in chronological order) It's a series of one-shots revolving around the Leptos universe, set in different times, mindsets and perspectives. It's purpose is to illustrate the all-consuming nature of anorexia/bulimia and how an eating disorder changes and impacts every friend and family member known to the sufferer. The reason why it's not one big story is that each piece of work (Leptos, Orexis etc) is meant to represent Sasuke's frame of mind. Having dealt with eating disorders I know that it's never one thought pattern, one set of emotions, one goal. It's a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, of recovery and relapse, of hope and of despair. I don't think it would flow very well or (in my mind) make sense for it to be considered one big story. There needs to be some sense of seperation and contrast. Why Sasuke? Because he's the poster child for mental illness, especially eating disorders. He really, really is. His PTSD is so prominent and defining throughout the series that it's actually quite depressing to watch. It may sound odd for me to say but I think he's one of the most emotional characters in the series, if not the most. While he doesn't know how to deal with them, his emotions dictate everything that he does, he has no control over them whatsoever. He's a perfectionist first and foremost, he's very hard working, he desperately wants to please those he looks up to, his outlook is terribly irrational, he hates himself and he bottles up his feelings like the loveable moron that he is. He is not a halfway kind of guy in any sense, it's either all or nothing. It is these things in his character that screams eating disorder to me, maybe not in the Ninjaverse where there are other outlets, but certainly in a society like ours. 31/1/13 - ZOMG I'm alive!!
