Just before Yugi and his friends depart to Duellist Kingdom, Yami takes over Yugi's body in order to visit Kaiba while he's in coma in order to get some things off of his chest.

When Pegasus decided to make the duel with Yugi a Shadow Game, after his mind switching technique, he seems to be growing weaker. While Pegasus takes this as Yugi dying from not being able to handle the pressures of the Shadow Game, Yugi's friends take it as Yugi losing blood sugar, because of the Shadow Game. Wait- YUGI SHOWS SIGNS OF BEING A DIABETIC IN CANNON? 0.0

After working on the Puzzle that her Grandfather gave her for eight years, Yugi finally managed to complete it. What she couldn't know was how much trouble one little trinket could cause… (Fem!Yugi, Season Zero, Ennead Book 1)

The warehouse was burning, and Yuugi was burning with it. But as long as the Puzzle was complete, the Spirit had a chance. And Yuugi was the only one who knew how to put it together. Yuugi was great at getting blood stains out of clothing. Season Zero, and everything that implies.

With his final breaths, Yugi makes a wish on the once again completed Puzzle that changes everything. As Yami struggles to accept his partner's death and move on, he is confronted with Marik's evil...and a possible way to resurrect the dead.

Yami's POV. After the duel in which Yugi's soul was taken by the Seal of Oreikalkos, Yami has been plunged into depression and numbness. On the train, he thinks to himself about what he has lost - and what it has made him.

In which Yami and Yugi come to terms with the pharaoh's greatest regret.

Yami is trapped within a dark, crushing void, the weight of guilt and regret bearing down on him. When his deepest fear takes root in reality, the broken pharaoh is offered a permanent outlet.

Ever since he played the Seal of Orichalcos, Yami has been looking back on his time with Yugi, but it's not until he tells Yugi what's on his mind that he realizes how much of a difference he's made.

After the defeat of Dartz and the Orichalcos magic, the gang has returned home. However, Yami has been strangely quiet within the Puzzle. Yugi wakes one night to find out why. Mild Puzzleshipping near the end.
