Anyone interested in adopting my fic "Diagnosis", please read my progress update below =]

Anime/Manga I've Watched/Read:

1. Prince of Tennis - Favourite pairings include OT5, Pillar Pair, Thrill Pair and Royal Pair, in that order. Wait. Maybe switch Royal and Thrill actually. OH And chuck TezuRyoFu in there :P

2. Loveless - Favs are Ritsuka/Soubi, obviously. Could quite probably like Soubi/Ritsuka/Seimei, but have never read any.

3. Bleach - God knows about pairings, don't really read its FF, but LOVE THE ANIME AND MANGA n_n (Manga more obviously :P)

4. Fruits Basket - Don't read the FF.

5. Tokyo Mew Mew - Shut up, dont laugh ¬_¬ Never even occured to me to TRY reading FF for this :P

6. Beginnings of Gundam Wing - Only ever read HP crossovers with this, but I prefer the idea of Harry/Heero, Harry/Trowa or Harry/Quatre in that order. Why do people keep pairing him with 5?! D:

7. Sailor Moon - Haven't watched all of the series, but watched a fair bit anyway. Don't read the FF.

8. Card Captor Sakura - ...Actually...WHY HAVEN'T I BEEN READING THE FANFIC FOR THIS?! :O I'm obviously an idiot. Omg. Seriously though, wtf, self? o.O

9. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles - Amn't finished reading much into the manga so am reserving judgement. But I love Fye and Kurogane n_n I'd probably love a pairing of them, but I won't say so until a bit of their mystery is reavealed. I don't like not knowing stuff ¬_¬

PROGRESS UPDATE:

04/06/10 - I admit defeat =[ The chances of this story ever getting completed are...well :/...I never say never, but if I did, I'd say it now. I HAD typed out what was beginning to be this big long story about why, but I've decided to try and keep it short instead XD

Basically, I had always been so engrossed in fan fiction because my life was so completely lacking anything exciting or interesting to keep my attention. Fan fiction was escapism from the monotony of life in general. My own relationship with my boyfriend was...a joke to be honest. We were more like brother and sister, except my sisters don't annoy me so much, and the thought of going anywhere or doing anything alone with them doesn't make me feel sick with dread. So, reading about all the PROPER relationships was nice in a way; another form of escapism.

A year and few months or so ago, however, my computing module at university required a group project. This meant I ended up in a group of people I got to know and became friends with, as well as another group, which effectively ended the year I'd already spent as more or less a loner. In the other group was a guy called Ben, who I immediately liked because he was funny, friendly and affectionate. It only took a few weeks until we ended up together one night after the end-of-year/exams BBQ (Named OMG QMB BBQ btw, which I actually though was quite smart XD Our building's initials were QMB you see =P) In that one night he destroyed more walls than anyone else had managed in 5 years and more, and that night marked the point at which my life became more interesting and worthy of my attention.

I have a perfectly amazing relationship with someone I love now, and a group of friends I go out with as often as I can. I finally am at a point where my life is too busy for fan fiction. I don't need to read it because I'm out there living it =D It's not just writing I don't have the time and motivation for anymore, it's reading itself. I have a bunch of updated chapters in my alerts list and every time I see them I just don't feel like I can be BOTHERED reading them, it's strange XD

Now that I have lots more time since I'm on summer holidays I would have liked to use my extra spare time to write, but I can't even remember what I wanted to write. I DID have a big sort of plan/list as well as some of the next chapter written but during a reformatting of my laptop (that I hadn't given permission for) that plan and the next chapter were lost, and I just CAN'T remember enough about it all to write it anymore.

Which brings me to the biggest point.

I don't want to see the story go to waste any more than any of you do. But I can see no possible way for me to do justice to this story anymore, even if I had the time and motivation to do so.

Therefore, this story is up for adoption.

I can remember enough to give anyone who wants to take over the basic gist of the storyline I had planned if they WANT it. However, it obviously would now be theirs and they could do whatever they liked with it so long as they were happy enough to say that at least some of it on some level came from me =] They could even rewrite in their own way what I already wrote or something. Also, I even leave the biggest decision in my story to them; whether or not Harry dies in the end. I know what I had planned, but regardless of what I wrote I kinnda had ended up planning an ending for either outcome, so I'd give both of those ideas to the adopter for them to decide if they want to use them, or make up their own.

Also, I don't really want to give the story to just anyone. I'm more likely to give the story to someone that has previous experience and was relatively successful. Which means, one (or more obvs) published fan fic(s) with an average number of reviews that is over a minimum I decide (Don't worry too much about this, it won't be unreasonable and I take into account other factors like the amount of time your story has been published. You could have an AMAZING first chapter, or first story, but it won't have many reviews if it's only a day old and/or you've not had enough time for your story to get around yet and whatnot obviously.)

However, I want anyone and everyone that's interested to try anyway, it could be the case that no experienced writer WANTS to write the story, in which case I'd rather it went to even a first time writer with enough skill to at least try, rather than not being given to anyone. Please, please, please get in touch guys.
