Hihi I'm Zylstra! I am twenty years young and giggle, perhaps more than I should for someone my age.

Anyway, I've been writing fanfiction for about...a while now, I think. I not long ago re-read some of the first ones I wrote and cringe while giggling insanely, for I can scarcely remember a time more embarrassing than posting such rotten tomatoes for people to read...except for perhaps that incident when I became delirious with foot-in-mouth disease in front of the whole eleventh grade population. Dear God. .;;;;;

Regardless, most of them are still posted for posterity and to remind myself how far I've come. From, "Story? What story? It's just about me making the characters morose about in pointless non-plots," (and yes, I am making 'morose' a verb as part of my one-gal adjective-to-verbing revolution) to, "Story? What story?" with a foot on a higher rung of grammatical ability.

Ah well. Enough of my ranting. Here's some stuff about me.

Likes

Retro video games: I'm still playing my Super Nintendo from twelve years ago, not to mention my Sega. (Love Alex Kidd n.n )

Japanese stuff: Movies, comics, cartoons, music, video games...actors.

Playing guitar: Heavy metal, rock, alternative, classical. You name it, it's awesome. Preferably stuff with fingerpicking or percussion.

Accents: Especially Scottish (Go Carson Beckett, David Tennant and Christopher Eccleston in GI.Joe)

New buses: Y'know, the ones with the bus number written on the back? I love knowing what bus I've just missed.

Amusing the general public: Apparently waiting at bus stops, dressing in half-gothic attire and eating apples while walking through the mall is interesting...

Adjectives: I use far too many, I daresay, in my writing. It's slightly embarrassing.

My (old) car!: It's seven years older than I am, has a clunky gearbox, no power steering, tired out springs in the driver's side seat and smells like a wet dog when it rains but I love it. Alas, no longer with us but rattles on in spirit.

Dislikes

Bad grammar: Especially in romance/fluff fanfictions. It spoils the whole effect.

A writer of Sanctuary: Whoever thought it a good idea to kill off Ashley should be made to pick up a hundred papers in their lunch hour.

Shotty plumbing: No, I did not want an indoor pool.

Twilight series: We're going the right way to convincing all teenage girls that they're useless when they're not glued to a sparkly man.

Public transport: I like to be able to sit on the bus without having to dodge flying shoes once or twice a minute.

A writer I might be, but able to think of much to say I am not! (Except for when it comes to my priest, who has something against Fruits Basket t-shirts and instant coffee...and then I have plenty to say.) Ah well. Have a really nice day!

I do not intend to breach copyright laws by writing fanfics using the formentioned characters; I am, however, sorry to the franchises whose names might be disgraced by my sometimes terrible writing.
