Author has written 12 stories for Warcraft. Well, I never forgot what it felt like. I never really stopped re-reading these goofy, powerful stories or writing them. And now, I have a whole lot more to share. It's true, I stopped playing Warcraft for a while. But I'm back and I'm writing again. Look forward to more My Life For My Prince because, hey, I LOVE writing fanfiction. I love feeling proud of my work, and I'm so pleased I was able to share, and will continue to share my writing with you... Thanks to everyone for their very kind, unflinching support over the years... even if my super-fangirly stories made you constantly flinch. By the by, I write other stories online and am finishing up my first novel. More on that later... Pooktales on Tumblr: You can now find me on Tumblr! Look for pooktales or my IC blog trixcuomo for art I've drawn, more stories... pretty much the stuff I've been doing between fanfic updates. *ducks* Don't hit me! About the My Life For My Prince Series (In Progress) A lot deviates from the lore. This takes place in an alternate universe where the Knights of the Blood Nexus have saved the now King Kael'thas Sunstrider. Kael'thas has some ethics but he's still pretty evil. And more importantly, he is also very handsome *eyebrow waggle* and certainly cunning. Kael'thas' Bloodknights are a cast of characters that bounce embarrassing jokes off him and one another very well, yet are terrifying to mess with. There are very sweet, sometimes dizzying love triangles and ships among their group. Illidan and Kael'thas have an extremely close, even co-dependent, sinister love-hate friendship that is both fun and heartbreaking to watch. Faltheriel Darkweaver, a once Sunfury, also makes an appearance as a really destructive Kael'thas fanboy. There are plenty of highly amusing reversals in characterization, such as a charming Bill Clinton-esque King Anasterian Sunstrider overwhelmed by his political and romantic affairs, and a smack-talking Arthas with a country drawl who a fan pointed out sometimes feels like a punk, teenage The Joker. I also try to fill in lore gaps that I find fascinating, just for fun. For example: Kael'thas' mother we never hear about; a look into Kael'thas' real emotional turmoil and romances while in Outland; the nitty gritty who-what-where-and-why of how the first Bloodknights formed; how exactly Liadrin became disillusioned with the Light while she was a priestess; what other political issues or themes in Highborne society might have cried out for Thalassian paladins to come into being; and couldn't Tyrande and Illidan actually have had an affair after 10,000 years of Malfurion being away, etc. Ya know, the juicy bits... About The Romancers Series (Complete) My first fanfic. Now it feels nostalgic for several reasons... Beneath the Cenarion Enclave in Darnassus, the Kaldorei Rogue Network does its best to protect the interests of the Night Elves within the Alliance. But then Onyxbane and Opalbane, a brother and sister devastated by the Burning Legion attacks in Felwood, come along and unravel every careful little plan Master Rogue Shadowstep has laid in place over the years. It happens through the mushroom cloud-like fallout of Onyxbane and then Opalbane's romantic misadventures with the rogues they meet. We follow the warrior Onyxbane; the sultry rogue Wisthera; the alcoholic ex-cultist shadowpriestess Opalbane; the dashing rogue and once-druid Alessandre; ruthless Shadowstep and the lovely priestess Feathershine through touching and laugh-out-loud awkward romances, and good ole-fashioned espionage for this very weird family of Night Elves. We also meet the strangely handsome and wonderfully goofy Faltheriel Darkweaver, a lonely Blood Elf agent of the Burning Legion who keeps insisting on showing up in almost every single story looking for love, like a bad penny. It turns out that Faltheriel also used to serve under Kael'thas... All of these Romancer stories are so good, but "The Romancer Opalbane" is hands-down my favorite. Why? Because Al is compelling, and it's also Faltheriel's first story. D'aaaw... About The Fangirlverse (On Hiatus) And then... I had to go and make something called The Fangirlverse to contain it all. My Blood Elf and Night Elf stories grew from funny 'what if?' scenarios into a full blown alternate universe with Kael'thas as a king, his secret order of Bloodknights and the unbelievably powerful Kal'dorei Rogue Network. Both stories were connected by... Faltheriel Darkweaver for some reason. Well, why not fully unite them both? Pit the Night Elf rogues against the Blood Elf Bloodknights! The first chapter of the Fangirlverse is up but I think it's going to change a lot as I get more ideas from "The Embarrassing Story of How I Became a Bloodknight". I'll unite Blood Elves and Night Elves in one grand diversion of alternate plotlines, romances, exotic new characters that could have been in the lore, fancy historical scenes in both empires, high drama, tense rivalries... all the things that make TV, soap operas, anime and novels the most fun places to let your imagination roam. I'm also planning some more prominent LGBTQ relationships for this series, and not just for Faltheriel. I'm so excited to share the Fangirlverse with you, so look forward to it! To all the fanboys and fangirls out there looking for 'more to the story'... you're welcome. - pooktales |
