![]() Author has written 13 stories for How to Train Your Dragon. 2019 Update Health is improving and I'm now writing a new story. I only plan to take a short break from this story in November to write the annual Snoggletog tale, so new chapters should appear a few times each month. Marty. Hi everyone; I am Marty: a humble mini-bus driver with delusions of being a writer and musician. I live in a small home in southern Australia and from here I practice playing the guitar, electric bass, ukulele (fav) and bongo drums while also writing HTTYD adventures. I fell in love with 'How to Train Your Dragon' after seeing it at the cinema in 2010 and would watch it every time it was on TV but in late 2013 I noticed that the Red Death dragon destroyed all the viking longships when the final battle started and so I began to wonder how did Stoick get his people back home in the short time frame in which Hiccup was in his coma. When my frustration about not knowing reached it's peak in early 2014, I began to write 'How to survive on Dragon Island' so that I could stop obsessing about it. Some months later when it was finished, I started to wonder what I could do with the story and still avoid being sued by Dreamworks when somebody told me that what I had written was called 'Fan Fiction'. I made a quick Google serch and found this web site so I at last had somewhere to post my story By then I was hooked on the whole writing thing, even though I was still very inexperianced, so I kept going. I made some bad errors in trying to rush the 2nd story and got way too heavy with the 3rd one, but now I hope I have settled down a bit and have decided to just fill in the time between the first two films because I did not like the TV series as much as the movies (still like to watch it though). Thanks for reading, Marty. Story Timeline I sometimes get confused when I think back and try to work out what happened when in the stories I've written, so it's about time I put together some kind of time line using the events of the first movie as the start. Year One: (Hiccup is 15) Year Two: (16) Year Three: (17) Year Four: (18) Year Five: (19) Year Six: (20) HTTYD 2 |
