Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter. I'm just your average fan of anything fantasy, and that's all you need to know. Or not. I realized, like, right now, that this first sentence I came up with so many months ago just doesn't cut it. It actually sounds a bit passive aggressive, now that I think about it. Not something that I want people to be thinking about me. Let's include a few random facts about myself: - I'm a seventeen year old American (though you could probably tell that last part from the little U.S.A. icon way at the top). Though I'm young, I wish not to be judged by my age. My mother always said that I was "thirteen going on thirty" and I really hope that comes through in my writings. I am an AP English student, and I participate in Speech and Debate, so that might help just a little. - As I said at the top, I love anything fantasy. Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Attack on Titan, and Avatar the Last Airbender: doesn't matter to me what media, because if it's fantasy I'll give it a try. - My profile picture is of my feet, and that's probably going to be the closest pic of myself that I'm going to share on this site. - I want to go into political writing and analysis someday, though I've always been told that I'd make a good lawyer. Decisions, decisions. - I will never write slash fic. I have nothing against those who write it themselves, but I personally wouldn't enjoy writing it unless I have something canon to work off of. I'm a creative person, but I don't have the energy to work a straight character gay. Kudos to those who make it work, but I know I'd never be able to. - I will always attempt to be as grammatically correct as possible with my fics. I hate it when a story has a great plot, but is written poorly. It makes me want to gouge my eyes out sometimes. - I will always try to finish a story. Unfinished stories always leave me sad, and I wonder where the author went. Currently, I'm working on What He Left Behind, and thank God I know exactly where I'm going with it. - I love working on other aspects of canon stories, like Parties, Fireworks, and Escaping the Carrows. Authors can't cover everything, and writing stuff that could have potentially happened in that world is really fun. - I hate it when authors say "I suck at summaries". If you tell me you suck at summarizing your own story, it doesn't give me high hopes for your actual story. - I hate it when authors say "First fic-go easy." We all had a first fic. I had one a while ago, and I wouldn't have wanted people to go too easy on it. Maybe it's my experience being ridiculed in debate, but criticism (CONSTRUCTIVE criticism) goes a long way in helping someone get better. - I currently despise Rick Riordan. The lack of Percabeth in Blood of Olympus upset me more than I care to admit. |
