April needs a date for her parents wedding anniversary and somehow she manages to talk Jackson into going with her. What happens when two best friends are forced to pretend they're in love for an entire week?

"Didn't we promise to each other that we'll always be the last one standing? We've been through so much and I refuse to end it this way. I didn't give up my love for you so you can just die so open your eyes Avery and prove me right, show me that I made the right decision 4 years ago, show me how successful and happy you've become" April whispered brokenly.

AU Season 9. Plans never work out the way you think they are going to, just ask April Kepner. In her short medical career she's been fired twice, she's not a board certified surgeon, currently finds herself involved in a complicated romantic relationship with her best friend and to top it all she could be pregnant with said friend's child.

Unbeknownst to anyone, least of all Jackson, (who is trying to take his mind off her) an injured April is trapped in the basement of the Southern Wing of the hospital when the ceiling collapses in on it because of the storm.

When April gets an eyeful of Jackson and Stephanie at Bailey's wedding, she gets comfort from an unlikely source. How will Jackson handle the budding relationship between his ex-best friend/ex-lover and Alex Karev?

Things get increasingly confusing for everyone on the island when the arrival of Juliet and Sawyer's daughter from the future causes everyone,including Richard,to question their purpose.

There is no life too small to leave an impact. Together, Jackson and April learn to live in a world without their firstborn son. Spoilers for s11.
