It's been years since I read this fic, but I've never forgotten it. It's one of my absolute favourite Japril stories. It is incredibly well-written and thought through. I've been binge watching Japril on Grey's again, so I need some therapy for the heartbreak endured there. Seasons 9 and 10 were the highlight of all things Japril if you ask me.

This is amazing writing. Love this. You are channeling Jackson 100%.

I'm reading it again and I loved it as much as I did the first time. If you ever find the inspiration to continue writing Japril stories, I promise I'll be the first to leave long and lengthy reviews!

Oh my goodness. This was excellent. I absolutely loved your analysis of his feelings and reactions and it makes me want to go and rewatch all those episodes again to see if I can catch all these emotions that you've so eloquently captured on paper.

It was so great how you included Kiss Three: his reaction to Stephanie and Shane. I never realised how relaxed his attitude was before, and the significance of the moment or lack thereof, and the way he was lounging in the empty ballroom of the gala after.

I've always wondered about April's reaction immediately after his confession. We never got to see what happened inside the barn on screen and I love your take on it!

This was absolutely great! I didn't know what to hope for when I began reading but I'm so glad I did. (I tend to avoid anything that's canon season 9 and the first half of 10 because I loathe it, LOL)
You perfectly described their first kiss from Jackson point of view, how high in the adrenaline and the excitement and after her bold move he started to consider her more than just a friend, even if he wasn't sure what she was at the moment.
The second kiss...was painful. I hated it, but at the same time felt it was only fair, he moved on in like three episodes, but his face showed he wasn't totally cool with her doing the same, even if he tried to convince himself he was, you did a great job in showing us his internal struggle in that moment.
The third kiss, I admit I cheered when he found them, ha ha. When he said "okay, then" I knew it was doomed. I liked that you wrote his reaction to that and how he struggled to like her because she wasn't complicated and their relationship was easy. And how different it was from what April made him feel.
The fourth kiss, swoon... no words. Amazing
