Author has written 10 stories for Legend of Zelda, Super Smash Brothers, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. "Love is something so divine, Description would but make it less; 'Tis what I feel, but can't define, 'Tis what I know, but can't express." -Beilby Porteus -o- Corner of Complaint -o- -January 4 2014- I have tried several times to update my “Corner of Complaint” but every time I try it ends with my life story, and to be honest I do not feel comfortable posting that here. I wanted to write about why I have not posted anything on this site for so long and in short it is because I am trying to become a better person and make changes in my life. -o- Juicy Tidbits -o- Name: Sara Gender: Female Birthday: 23rd of February Star sign: Pisces DeviantArt: http:/// Playing: Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright (love it!) On Writing -o- Being a daydreamer I have plenty of things to write, but if I am going to be perfectly honest I have never quite understood the appeal of writing. I guess I do not have the patience for it and I lack a good flow when I write. I chose not to write in Swedish because I want to improve my English (it has already helped me a lot). The worst thing about writing in a different language is of course that you cannot express yourself as well as you would like, still I hope that it will not ruin the experience for you. Top 5 English Words: 1. Indeed 2. Loath 3. Flabbergasted 4. However 5. Innuendo -o- My Stories -o- Our life Zelda – This was the first story I ever posted on this site, and it shows (yes, do not read it). The things I do to the English language is a tale in itself. As a reminder (and a warning) of the low quality, I have kept the title with the lower case first letter of the middle word and not included the needed comma. The idea behind the story was to follow Link and Zelda's lives as they grow up (set in the world of Ocarina of Time but for the most part ignoring its story). Here, Link is the son of a humble general, who has the potential for an even higher status but settles for command over a small group of trainees. Link is thus nothing but a soldier's son, practicing day and night for a career in the army. Meanwhile, Zelda, the "holy" princess of Hyrule, is torn between people's expectations. The ones serving the goddesses want her because of her magical powers, because magic is slowly disappearing from the world. She is also expected to become a reliable ruler of the country (a full-time job on its own). As if that was not enough, her bodyguard and nursemaid for some reason wants her to learn the secret arts of the Sheikah, which takes a lifetime to master. With people controlling their lives, Link and Zelda still manage to become friends, and treasure that relationship even when they see less and less of each other. Besides this, there are a lot of branching plot-lines and pointless scenes. There are wars – between and within tribes – unrequited love, complicated relationships, differing opinions, random confusion, history meddling with the present, troubles with the classes of society, etc. As you can tell there were lots of faults not only with the language but the content too. There are a lot of clichés, faulty facts, over the top drama and the lamest descriptions ever. I think I comment on Zelda's amazing piercing eyes at least twice every chapter. Although it was years ago that I even checked this story (the mere thought makes me shudder and I would have to crawl down under the covers and cry for a week if I read it), I have a nagging suspicion that there is an overload of exclamation marks. -o- Smashers – Are you also the kind of person who ends up with one drawer or box where you dump all of the random things you find no good place for? This story is my dump in the sense that it has no real plot but is rather a compilation of random ideas; whatever I am in the mood for or come up with when I sit down to write. When I started out writing I kept struggling with my first story that got all the more out of hand. When I found my way to the SSB section of this site it was light-hearted, with plenty of possibilities and freedom, and the fresh look on things that gave me the break I needed from my dark spiral. Smashers became my stress-reliever and a way of dealing with writer's block. It was something purely for fun, and I came to spend a lot more time on it than I thought I would. The story is as simple as it gets. Take the characters of the game and shove them into the Smash Mansion (oh, this dreaded cardboard box. The enemy of originality! How could I?). Most of it is centered around Link trying to take the step past friendship with the ever oblivious Zelda. Something that is made a lot harder by the interference of the new people they have had the pleasure of moving in with. The core of Smashers is relationships. The characters do little else than pine for somebody they cannot have. Sadly, the story has run away from me and there is a lot I have written that I do not want to stand for. Besides certain scenes, I am not proud of how Mary-Suish Zelda is, how often Link must be described in negative terms and how cruel and unsympathetic Marth turned out to be. I wrote Smashers side by side with Our life Zelda. The language is therefore... beyond horrible. On the bright side of things, since it is the story I have been working on the longest I think it mirrors what little improvement I have made over the years. Of course, I still make a lot of mistakes, and I might be sloppier than usual with my writing, but it is fun to see that you are walking along a path and can look over your shoulder. -o- Why Are You Dying – My first one-shot. A short scene that sprung from the contrast I like to imagine between Link and Marth. Most of my stories end up treading water. Even if a lot of work is done they stay on the same spot and no progress is made whatsoever. This is how I came to try my hand at a one-shot. I do not usually write them. With longer stories I can fool myself that a point is on the way while here I am confronted with how pointless my stories really are. It is the same when I draw comics. I have a lot of fun on the way but there is never a punchline. I often associate Link with fire and Marth with water. Link's kindness is like a warming glow, his emotions are strong and consuming like a forest fire, his excitement is wild and bristling like flames. People gather around fires and are connected by its warmth. It is helpful and important to us, but should not be underestimated. Link's anger is the raging kind, like fire overpowering everything that gets in its way. In contrast, Marth's gentleness is calmer, mild and still like the surface of a pond. What he does and what he feels is his own business – like the sea that can wrap itself around a human and caress it with its water or mercilessly drown it. When he is angry, he is silent and cold as ice that can slowly freeze a human to death, but on the inside he is like a storming sea, dark and chaotic, focused on nothing but swallowing you. This story is short and not very complicated. Link has hurt Zelda, and Marth regrets not stealing her away before it happened. Strangely enough, whenever I read the title it almost makes me laugh. It is not very deep or dramatic. I have rewritten the story two or three times I think but I have tried to keep most of it intact and unchanged, even its weak spots (like the awful title). -o- First Time Sharing – I am a big fan of Phoenix Wright. The characters are amazingly fleshed-out and the story has so much to offer that I feel no need to add anything. Well, it cannot be denied that I did write a story for the series nonetheless. Although I have trouble imagining Maya and Edgeworth ending up together, there is something extremely engrossing about the rival exceeding the main character in an unsuspected area (in this case, Edgeworth intruding on the close relationship between Phoenix and Maya). In spite of being a hopeless romantic, and in spite of my bad habit to skim stories until I get to the romantic parts, I am extremely bad at writing it. Because I. Never. Get. To. The. Point. The same thing happened here. I want to fill out a bit on the relationship between Edgeworth and Maya, settling for a festival as the setting, and then I start to involve too many characters, have them all interact, have things happen to all of them, and then it ends with Maya shoving a hamburger into Edgeworth's face. How romantic. This story has not been rewritten, and judging by the lousy English I came across that time I had a look at Why Are You Dying (which was written around the same time), I fear the worst. -o- Turned Tables – My silly little tribute to the classic pairings (Mario/Peach and Link/Zelda). Sometimes it tires me to constantly come across arguments against them as if every hint for them were an abomination. In the story, Master Hand is also fed up with this so-called canon. The couples are cliché, overdone, unrealistic, shallow and nothing ever changes about them. He decides to ignore their past, their lives and their feelings to give them partners that better suit his liking. To make things easy, he makes them swap partners and is convinced new romances burning with hot passion will spark. Tah-dah. Link and Peach can do a good act out of it. The are alike in a lot of ways. They both care about other people before themselves, to the point that they go overboard. They both, in return, seek a lot of attention from the ones they love. They are both outgoing and friendly. They are both optimists. They are both good at finding themselves in difficult situations. In fact, they are so alike that it does not take long for there to be trouble in paradise. They invade on each others interests, have to fight over everything they cannot share etc. (Although there are no misunderstandings to complicate things between them, as in Smashers, the result is still the same in the end. In my world, they are fated to dislike each other). Mario and Zelda does not have as much in common, but they are both calmer and their similar “exes” serve as a good foothold to help them get closer to each other. In this way, Peach and Link's situation turns into Mario and Zelda's and vice versa. While they deal with each other (and jealousy) they must also keep up a convincing act for Master Hand. This is supposed to be a rather light and comedic read and I might be putting more focus on dialogue. It was fun to write the beginning since it is the first time I have written Link and Zelda as an actual couple. I was also sick of the saintly Zelda of Smashers, so I had a chance to make her a bit more feisty and livelier. -o- What Turns the Key – Not one of my oldest stories but actually the second one I ever came up with (my first one was Jigglypuff and Kirby running into the meanest seller of cotton candy on the planet when they went to Pinna Park). Was I even thirteen years old when I thought this up? I intend to stick with all the stupid and childish ideas I came up with, although I try to make it a bit more interesting with the help of what little experience I have gained during the years this has remained unwritten. Shall I tell a secret? When I first got the idea for this story it was closely related to Smashers (which was also unwritten at the time, and is also where the cotton candy seller will show up, in the far future when the Smashers go to Delfino Island). If Smashers was a series, this was Smashers THE MOVIE! (Epic, I know). Because of this, the plan is to give every (Melee) Smasher his/her/its time in the spotlight, although that might turn out to be only for one chapter (if even that) for some. Onto the story: We have your typical kind of villains (wearing black, wants to rule the world, Darth Vader wannabes etc. etc.) up to no good. Two siblings of little importance. The sister controls illusions, dreams and the unreal, while the brother's powers are more directed at everything that exists in our reality. If you surrender your will to them, they can take over and manipulate your thoughts, feelings and memories. Fortunately, not many would let someone into their head. The prologue is about them and I myself find it to be a real sleeping pill. I would advice people to skip it, but I let it stay in the story because it explains the setting and is a rare opportunity to introduce the bad guys. Hrm, well, anyhow, this is what the Smashers are up against. The brother and sister systematically expand their territory, gaining power by luring the right persons to their side. There are a chosen few that have a great impact on the world (just how it would have a greater effect if somebody of great importance was killed in our world). Link turns out the be the one person to determine whether these villains will succeed or not. The smallest weight may be what tips the scale and one droplet can be what makes the goblet spill. I have tried to be a bit more careful with the language when I write this story (do not be fooled by the sloppy writing of this summary). There are, as always, mistakes. I can only keep on practicing. At least I have made an effort to focus a lot on description and inner thoughts. I love when there is reasoning behind actions. Reasoning stems from reaction. If I focus on the psychological aspects, everything else will unfold according to the characters' decisions, based on their thoughts and feelings. I have tried to take inspiration from my own nightmares, fears, the most unflattering sides of my personality, my worst thoughts. That does not necessarily mean that it is a dark story. I want it to be a lot about feelings, how things affect us, why they affect us and how one person may act differently than another, but I cannot bury myself in that, and there are not only dark sides to it. Not to forget either, I have a bad habit to make lame jokes (as I am not a very cheerful or funny person in real life I torture everyone on the Internet with my lack of humor). One stupid reason I have for holding back with the philosophies and depressive behaviors is that it can be a very unattractive thing. It would be difficult for someone like me to put it in a flattering light, because the one who is experiencing strong emotions/beliefs is trapped in an illusion where everything ugly is beautiful, but what does everyone else see? Everything can be turned around, but I think that it is harder for those who see the light to see the darkness. A mad person can see our world, albeit he might not understand it, but we only see a madman. Because I am aware of Link's popularity (how can one not be?) he is just a bit down when he is supposed to be depressed. And this story focuses a lot on how strongly Link and Zelda feel for each other and how the events of their lives has entwined their fates and souls. It is a strange bond that is a big part of them. -o- Overcoming Boundaries – For being a huge Marth and Zelda fan I do not have whole a lot of stories about them. Actually, not counting Smashers I do not have a single one. Yet I see so much potential there and have so many ideas, so I simply picked one and got to work. It is quite simple; An arranged marriage and the two royalties find themselves stuck together in a castle. Marth hates it but Zelda does not seem to have any reaction at all. Moreover, she seems to be dumped on the front porch. When Marth's curiousness gets the better of him he starts to feel more sympathy for the princess and it seems that she is starting to feel some affection for him as well. The story is set in Altea and while it is not a full-depth analysis of Marth's background (definitely now, there is enough facts changed to call this an AU) it is still a lot of fun to work with him in his “home environment” and with his family. For the fun factor Smashers will show up during the course of the story (but changed to fit into the setting). -o- Ordinary World – I have a thousand story ideas waiting to be written and then I post something I wrote on a whim. It is a story told through the eyes of a murderer (with a first person narrative) who never reveals his identity. The story is fairly harmless. It is not written with the intention to scare and if there are disturbing themes they are only briefly touched upon. The idea is to make a few jumps in time back and forth and follow the murderer's tries to hide his true nature and get away with everything as well as what leads him to committing the crimes. On the side the Smashers try to cope with what is happening around them and if they should leave the tournament or take the risk to stay to unmask the culprit. -o- Norna – I prefer historical settings. When I write about the Smashers living together I always tend to think about the house as a secluded space. To try something different, this story takes place in a huge dark and corrupt city. NORNA is an independent crime-fighting organization, which the Smashers are part of. There is nothing graceful about it. The organization gives them a roof over their heads and compensation for performing dirty work to get rid of the biggest criminals in the city. They are all stuck there trying to deal with their pasts. Samus is the one to narrate the story. She has often been shoved to the side in my stories although I quite like her. Truthfully, the whole intention with this story was to write something for Samus and the setting was inspired by what I thought would suit a story about her. She will introduce the broken souls of NORNA and part of their stories will be revealed. But their stories is not all that is important. For example, to begin with Samus already knows why Captain Falcon joined NORNA and she does not have very high thoughts about him, but the more time she is forced to spend with him the more her opinion changes. So one could say that Samus analyzes herself while analyzing the people close to her. -o- A Very Classic Tale – A very childish (dumb) story supposed to have a typical fairy tale plot. The man who completes three challenges will marry Princess Zelda. The King of Hyrule would very much like this man to be Marth but the problem is that there is a rival already promised a shot: Link. The King tries to come up with tasks that will work in Marth's favor. What he does not know is that his daughter is helping Link, because he is the man she has been waiting for. Unfortunately for Zelda, her visiting friend Shiida has a crush on Marth and thinks that Zelda is being unfair and stepping on his feelings by cheating so she in turn helps the prince. Complicated? -o- Characterization -o- It is hard to say what separates a character that is enjoyable to read about from one that is not. For me, it is not so much about good or bad as it is about how the author chooses to stress what is good or bad. Am I making no sense? Every character needs a flaw or a weakness, but depending on how you choose to look at it, a weakness can be a strength and vice versa. Getting into the head of a shy and introverted person and be able to take a part of all its worries might be a kind of weakness that allows one to relate and feel sympathy, maybe even that it can be a strength in some regards. So, I guess I would say that I like a character when things are not so black and white. There are certain qualities and personality traits that appeal to me more than others. For example, I have a strange fondness for nobles and villains. I guess I like that nobles often equal a classy behavior and etiquette. They can be however nasty they want so long as they are polite, an expression of respect for the being in front of them, no matter how deep hatred runs. Villains are admirable because luck is never on their side (nor anyone's faith or sympathy) and yet they rise again and again with more tenacity than any hero. The qualities I appreciate the most are: modesty, politeness, consideration, determination, passion, wisdom. This might be generalizing it quite a bit, but overall that is how I feel. I have no idea who started them, or else I would credit. Just note that they are not mine :) LIST YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS (OCs count) AND ACT AS IF YOU WERE ACTUALLY IN THE GAME: (well, I didn't really list them in the order that I like them. I chose them at random, except for Zelda whom I put at my lucky number). 1. Mario 2. Peach 3. Captain Falcon 4. Samus 5. Roy 6. Link 7. Marth 8. Zelda 9. Bowser 10. Ganondorf Then ask the following questions What would you do if Number 1 woke you up in the middle of the night Tell Mario that if Luigi can't sleep he will have to deal with that himself (rolls over and falls asleep). Number 3 walked into the bathroom while you're showering? What would I do? I bet Captain Falcon would scream and run straight back out before I got the chance to throw so much as a soap at him. Number 4 announced he/she's going to marry 9 tomorrow? I would grab Samus's hands with teary eyes and tell her, "I bet you will make a great mother for the Koopalings. You already learned to love a slimy blob like your own baby." Peach in the background:" And don't forget that Bowser and Samus have so much in common." Number 5 cooked you dinner? "You did not use that flaming sword of yours to fry this, did you Roy?" Number 6 was lying next to you on the beach, sleeping? Read a book. What, I can't mind my own business? I'll let Link sleep. I doubt he is the type who will easily burn anyway. Number 8 got into the hospital somehow? Zelda is in the hospital D: My new brother (Marth) must immediately go there and hand over my get-well-soon gift and a bouquet of flowers. I can't go because, uhm, I have an important appointment at the beach. Number 9 made fun of your friends? Bowser, really? Why am I not surprised? Better just ignore him because I swear that attention is what he is after. Number 10 ignored you all the time? It is probably for the better to be ignored by Ganondorf. Two serial killers are hunting you down. What will 1 do? Mario would jump on their heads. You're on a vacation with 2 and manage to break your leg. What does 2 do? Lucky me that it's Peach who is an educated nurse. She can fuss over me until Dr. Mario arrives at the scene. Captain Falcon gives me a new bathtub (he must be happy that he did not have to give the gift a lot of thought). You're stuck in a house that's on fire. What does 4 do? Just when the firemen are about to give up, pushed back by the roaring fire, Samus Aran extends an arm in their way. One look through that green visor and the brave men step back as she lungs into the flames to hard rock music. The house begins to fall apart and just when hope begin to fade Samus emerges with the trapped girl in her arms. Behind her the house falls apart and explodes. Samus Aran saves everyone. You're about to do something that'll make you feel extremely embarrassed. What will 5 do? Roy would not realize that I would be embarrassed. He would be enthusiastic and encourage me only to feel guilty afterwards. You're about to marry number 10. What's 1's reaction: Oh, I'll marry Ganondorf. I know that I can change his bad ways with the power of love. Mario would then point at Bowser, loitering on the couch with popcorn all around, and say “what-a you're marrying is-a ten times worse.” You got dumped by someone. How will 7 cheer you up? Marth clams up whenever bad things are in question. He would just sit next to me and frown in concern. If I have successfully made him think of me as a sister he might hold a grudge for my sake and seek revenge when the opportunity shows itself. Although, if he would offer it we could sit curled up in blankets, wearing pajamas and watching romantic comedies while eating chocolate ice-cream (I pity him already). You compete in a tournament. How does 9 support you? Bowser support me? That's a good one, ha ha ha! You can't stop laughing. What will 10 do? Number 1 is all you've ever dreamed of. Why? Oh, Mario. You supported me when I was about to marry Ganondorf, with his dreadful mood and complete lack of humor. It made me open my eyes. You are a good guy. Even if I repeatedly did something stupid (like getting kidnapped) you would be there for me. You would not leave me at the stove. Instead we would cook pasta together. I would never have to pay for plumbing. You would not mind being lovey-dovey. Number 2 tells you about his/her deeply hidden love for number 9. You're dating 3 and he/she introduces you to her parents. Would you get along? A 35-year-old brings a much younger girl home to his parents? That would probably work out. Elderly people seem to like me a lot better than my peers do (I just have to avoid revealing that I know nothing about cars). If Captain Falcon visited my parents on the other hand... They would keep a nice facade up even after seeing the blue spandex, hearing that he makes a living on driving and are involved with criminals. That is until my new sibling Marth blurts, “isn't that the guy who peeped on you in the shower?” Will number 5 and 6 ever kiss? Roy and Link? XD I can actually imagine it. “Look, Marth, now you're just being stupid! I will prove to you that Link isn't contagious so will you two just stop with the hating!?” (smooches Link) Number 6 appears to be a player, breaking many hearts. What do you do? I KNEW IT! Link is a player! I knew it! And to think that I chose to believe in you? Telling myself it was all stupid rumors and lies but it was all true! Malon, Ilia, Midna, Ruto, OC, Anju, Medli, Nabooru, Mary-Sue, Epona, Makar, Dark Link, Shadow Link, OC, the Master Sword, Roy, Ganondorf, Saria, Violet Link, Samus, OC, Lyndis, Navi, Ike, OC, Peach, Soren, Blue Link, Pit, Gerudo harem, Twinrova, Marth, Din, Lulu, Nayru, Red Link, Farore, OC, Ralph, Great Fairy, Tatl, Mary-Sue, Lulu, Romani, Cremia, Kafei, OC, Queen of Fairies, Mary-Sue, Ashei, prostitute, old hag, old man, Mary-Sue, Colin, Mila, Aveil, Rosa, seven maidens, OC, Impa, Ike, Pit, etc. etc. etc. Just you wait! Deny it all you want but I will make sure that Zelda does not make it on that list. (Completely ignores Link denying it over and over and saying it's a misunderstanding). Simply put: I would go HULK on him! You had a haircut and 7 can't stop looking at you. What goes on in your mind? I hope Marth does not mind that I dyed my hair blue. It should be more obvious that we are related. Number 8 thinks he/she’ll never get a girl/boyfriend. What will you tell him/her? Zelda, you are just too humble to notice their attention. In reality you should be more careful about the men around you. For instance, you'll never believe what I heard about Link... No, you got nothing to worry about, but to cheer you up, come over and watch a movie with me, Elice and Marth. I am sure that Marth would be very happy. You and Marth seem to get along well. And, you know, if I were a guy (or if I swung the other way) I would fall for you any day. (I think that will be slightly better, or less creepy, than saying, "I love you" and making twinkly eyes) Sits in front of the computer screen. “Bowser, if only I had known before (sniffles) but it is too late now. I'm engaged to Mario and you finally have your Peach.” Although... If I break it off with Mario he can get back together with Peach and I will have my Bowser (evil smirk). You spot 10 kissing 1. How do you react? Well, that breakup did not go as planned (Mario warned me about Ganondorf to nab him for himself? O_O) You notice that 3 and 4 have been inside that hotel room for MORE than a few hours. What are you thinking? Captain Falcon and Samus have been inside that hotel for very long now... hmm... is there a bounty hunter congress going on? Maybe I should check it out? Could 1 and 6 be soul mates? Mario and Link soul mates? I can see it now, sitting by the fire, complaining over how hard it is to be a hero. Why can't the stupid villains just realize that they'll never win? That is when they realize how much they have in common. No matter what they choose to talk about the other one has gone through the same thing and in the end they look into each other's eyes and realize that they both have blue ones. (What a disturbing thought XD) Would 2 trust 5? Peach would trust anyone. No matter how many slip-ups or blunders Roy makes she will still trust him. Number 4 is bored and pokes 10. What happens after that? Samus pokes Ganondorf who tilts his head to the side and glares before he sinisterly asks if she just poked him. She responds with nothing but a blank stare. Ganondorf looks away and Samus pokes him again. 5 and 1 are forced to go back to school together. What study will they pick? Roy to Mario: “The Mushroom Kingdom University has Peach studies? Sweet!” Neither Link nor Captain Falcon can cook. Unfortunately, that does not stop them from trying to impress and they choose to do marinaded lamb with aubergine. Let's just say that it came out closer to black pudding and some green mush. Bowser is over-confident with high demands and Marth is proud and already aware that he has the right to high standards... They apply to be king. 8 gives 5 a haircut. Is that okay? Oh, Zelda is very neat. Of course she can pull it off and improve Roy's hair. The question is whether Marth and Link will approve of the private time. Bowser can never resist being mean, but due to his unrequited feelings for Peach he actually tries to be nice and draws Zelda for Link. But when Link sees the poorly drawn stick figure he cruelly rips the picture apart because it does not make his princess justice, ignoring Bowser's terrified shrieks. The Koopa is left alone on the cold floor, crying over the pieces. I name this movie Tristesse ("Sorrow"). 10 and 9 are blushing while they talk. What is their conversation about? Ganondorf's fanfiction. Bowser is his beta reader. 1 accidentally kicked 10? 2 sent a message to his/her Bf/Gf but 9 got it. What would happen? Bowser would come running down the stairs, meeting the gaze of his beloved Princess Peach. He ravishingly scoops her up in his arms, holds her tight and exclaims that he knew it all along. It is sad, but she is forced to inform him that the message was for Mario. Not that Bowser would listen. Mario would probably have to come to the rescue again. 5 and 6 did a workout together? Roy and Link would be best pals, laughing and having fun, sweating and patting each other on the back. What they would not be aware of is Marth, lurking at the entrance engulfed in a dark aura of jealousy. 6 noticed he/she wasn't invited to your birthday? Link, would follow me around, asking if it is because I still think he's a player? Then he would try (and fail) to explain the situation and desperately wonder if I have told Zelda. I'd let him suffer. 7 won the lottery? I would hug Marth and immediately suggest that the two of us and Zelda go out and do something fun (of course something will come up to prevent me from going with them but that's life). 8 had quite a big secret? Laughs. Zelda, everybody knows that you and Sheik are the same person. 9 became a singer? I would buy Bowser's CD any day. Just imagine that deep, roaring voice... uhm, right, he must be tone-deaf... Too bad I urged him to send a copy to Peach. 10 got a daughter? Naturally Ganondorf would get a daughter. There is only one male Gerudo born once every hundred years. I would shrug and wonder if it really is his first child. He is kind of old, you know, and worshiped like a god by his female tribe (with one exception :P). Mario loves Peach from the bottom of his heart, no matter what they have to go through. To him she is the epitome of loveliness. How would 3 greet 4? Captain Falcon to Samus: “Aran, no room service today?” (inside joke after the hotel) What would 4 envy about 5? Samus would envy Roy his social skills in spite of having a shy side (and how good he is with the ladies). What dream would 5 have about 6? Nightmares about the kiss from before. Roy may have to realize that he was a bit brash. Link and Marth are both swordsmen that hate each other. Well, and they might both be in pursuit of Zelda's heart (in my book). Marth would be insulted if Zelda did not give him enough attention (although I think that he would just stay nearby coughing and glaring to hint at it). Where would 8 meet 9? When Bowser and Ganondorf decide to work together and kidnap Peach and Zelda, Bowser babysit her for a while. What would 9 never dare to tell 10? Bowser would never dare to tell Ganondorf that he believes that his fanfiction writing is a result of being hated by the woman he loves (Nabooru) and his failed attempts to regain his wounded pride by defeating Zelda's stubbornness and making her his. What would make 10 scared of 1? Mario would figure out who the man behind the pen name really was, discovering the softer side of Ganondorf (blackmailing time). Is 3 Gay? Captain Falcon? Gay? He's got an overload of testosterone and loves cars above anything else. He also went to a congress together with Samus. I doubt it. How do you feel right now? Meh, neutral. -o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- Name 12 characters from any fandom and answer the following questions. (This is in a random order ) 1. Mario 2. Peach 3. Captain Falcon 4. Samus 5. Roy 6. Link 7. Marth 8. Zelda 9. Bowser 10. Ganondorf 11. Vaati 12. Lilina Have you ever read a six/eleven fanfic? No, sorry, but I have not. Although I am pretty sure that Link/Vaati exists, which is kind of ironic as Vaati made such a big deal about catching himself a wife when he first appeared. Maybe he got sick of no women wanting him or he thinks Link would make a good wife. Do you think four is hot? How hot? Samus is more hot than she is cute or beautiful, but there are enough fans on the internet raving on and on about her total hotness for me to simply feel “meh”. Then again, I like to think of her as manly and reliable (kind of like Ryunosuke from Urusei Yatsura) so I'll join the hot club. What would happen if twelve got eight pregnant? Nature would blow up because if Lilina got Zelda pregnant it would go against the laws of n.. Hmm, then again... This is fanfiction... I have heard about this scientific parthenogenesis where they joined two eggs from female mice, but it does not yet work on humans (and might never due to the ethical dilemma it poses)... ooh, a sci-fi romance where Lilina and Zelda, against their will, are used in the name of research in a boundless world where ethics seem not to exist. A sisterly relationship forms as they try to cope with the things they are put through, but it turns into hatred as both Lilina and Zelda claim the right to raise the baby (once they accept the situation) with their respective lovers (Roy and Link). Do you recall any fics about nine? Well, Bowser might not be everyones favorite protagonist as he is the typical antagonist (and how many writes about the antagonistic hero in the SSB section?). He played a pretty big part in “Captain Falcon's Basketball” by Cimar of Turalis though, where he was so in character it never fails to put a smile on my face (must be why that is the first story to come to mind). Would two and six make a good couple? Many might like Link/Peach but that often walks hand-in-hand with comparing Peach and Zelda and arguing that one is better than the other. Because of this I have a hard time pairing Link and Peach, and also because the way I picture them, they do not have much chemistry. If (my) Link and Peach were to spend time together they would find that they are too alike to get along (wait, I am already writing a fic about that! “Turned Tables”). Five/Nine or Five/Ten? I would choose Roy/Ganondorf because I respect Bowser's one-sided love for Peach too much. What would happen if seven walked in on two and twelve having sex? Marth, being the naïve Disney romantic that he is, would be paralyzed and stand in the doorway trembling (and staring) at Peach and Lilina. He would then spend years trying to tell Roy about what he saw. And he would most likely not be able to watch his Disney princess movies without starting to cry. Is there such thing as a one/eight fluff? I know that SammieAran writes Mario/Zelda and she is quite the writer. Might question if “hugging intimately” counts as “fluff” though :P Suggest a title for a one/eight hurt/comfort fic. “Save Me” (a play on the whole hero and princess situation, only the original partners are gone) Make up a summary for a three/ten fic. I was not expecting anything. I was sick of unsatisfactory victories and sick of this place. When my first punch was blocked I could have sworn a current of electricity shot through me, and brought me back to life. My moves were mirrored and I knew this meeting was fate. C.FalconxGanondorf What might Ten scream at a moment of great passion? Ganondorf, being the Triforce maniac that he is would probably scream, “Power! Power!” If you wrote a songfic about eight, what song would you choose? I like relating songs to Zelda so there are a lot of options. “Gravity of Love” – Enigma, “My Heart Will Go on” – Celine Dion, “To the Moon and Back” and "Carry on Dancing" – Savage Garden, “Stand My Ground” and "Memories" – Within Temptation, “Think of Me” – Phantom of the Opera Soundtrack, "Var Mig Nära" – Cecilia Vennersten, "Here with Me" – Dido, "Frozen" – Madonna, "Lady Stardust" – Lisa Miskovsky, "Fight" - Natalia Barbu... the list goes on. Uhm, I think I would go with “We Are” – Ana Johnson. If you wrote a one/six/twelve fic, what would the warning be? Mario/Lilina/Link. Beware of jealous princesses and a guy with a flaming sword. Read at your own risk. What might be a good pick up line for Ten to use on Two? Ganondorf to Peach: “If I were to make a wish on the Triforce you'd find yourself in my bed tonight.” Or: “If you let me steal you away for one night you will never want to be saved.” Or: “Not my whole tribe of Gerudo women can compare to you.” (Boy, these are fun to come up with) Cuter Couple: Five/Nine or Ten/Twelve? Roy/Bowser or Ganondorf/Lilina? Ouch, tough pick. I can imagine a lot more interesting scenarios with Ganondorf and Lilina (the good ol' bad guy falls for good girl. It's a classic and I love those.) What would six say if they saw eight and three kissing? Say? Link would let the Master Sword do the talking when he finds Captain Falcon getting frisky with his princess. Okay, fine, fine, he would say: “ROOOAAAAR!” Just kidding, he'd say: “You're dead!” (I want to add a long line of insults but somehow that feels like a girl's thing. Add in “you son of a b*tch” and I think we're good). Though, to be honest, I think he wouldn't be able to say anything. How would you feel if eleven died? “There goes the potential for a more interesting plot in the Zelda games.” No, I want to keep Ganondorf (he is a key ingredient in the Zelda recipe) but Vaati is a new non-lame villain and how often does that happen? That's right. Never. Plus, compare the number of handsome guys in TLoZ to the number of beautiful girls. Yes, TLoZ is like Link's private harem where there is no competition whatsoever. Suddenly I feel that I would miss Vaati A LOT! Which is a more disturbing pair? One/Four or One/Seven? Mario with Samus or Mario with Marth. Can you imagine the plumber saving fair prince(ss) Marth(a) and the love that will transpire? Would Four or Nine ever get sad if Twelve got run over by a car? Samus would be sad on the inside but she if anyone should be able to cope with death. She did not even know Lilina that well. Bowser, yeah, the name says it all. Why would he care? Although if he saw Roy he would probably pity him and feel a bit down himself. When's the last time you read a fic about five? It is as if people think it is forbidden to write about Roy because he is not in Brawl. I cannot remember the last time I read a story about him, which is a shame. (1) and (7) are in a happy relationship until (9) runs off with (4). (1), brokenhearted, has a hot one-night stand with (11) and a brief unhappy affair with (12), then follows the wise advice of (5) and finds true love with (3). Mario and Marth are in a happy relationship until Bowser runs off with Samus. Mario, brokenhearted, has a hot one-night stand with Vaati and a brief unhappy affair with Lilina, then follows the wise advice of Roy and finds true love with Captain Falcon. What title would you give this fic? Which Way Do I Swing? How would you feel if seven/eight was canon? Marth/Zelda can go ahead and be canon. I would be thrilled and spam the internet. Choose ten of your OC’s. If you don't have 10 pick cool characters to replace them. 1. Mario 2. Peach 3. Captain Falcon 4. Samus 5. Roy 6. Link 7. Marth 8. Zelda 9. Bowser 10. Ganondorf Four invites three to have dinner at his/her house. What happens? Samus would go into “tsundere” mode, constantly tell Falcon that she did not actually want to invite him and how she does not care what he thinks of her cooking and that she put in no effort whatsoever. Captain Falcon makes himself comfortable, relaxed as ever, and remains completely oblivious to what is expected of him. He takes a mouthful of Samus's cooking and says, “you weren't kidding. This sure is terrible.” Then Falcon goes headfirst out the window. Nine tries to get five to go to a strip club. Bowser puts an arm around Roy's shoulder and leads him down the street. “I know this great place, just your style, y'know. I think it'll do you good.” “That sounds awfully suspicious. Why me?” “Pah? You don't think I've noticed? You're as heartbroken over Peach as I am. We're practically brothers.” “Wah! I... I don... Fine, it can't be that bad, can it?” If you could choose to sleepover at either one's or six's house who would you choose? Mario or Link? The eternal battle. Actually, I would choose Mario just to add points to team Mario. Besides, who has the comfier home? Yup, Mario's win again. Although I'd like to visit Hyrule... Two and Seven are making out and Ten walks in. What happens? Ganondorf walks in on Marth and Peach entangled in a tight embrace. “Oh, what now? You royalties are always over one another. Intermarriage! That's why you're all demented. The whole lot of you.” Marth tears away and gives the Gerudo a cold stare. “People with class liking people with class is nothing strange. And who are you to talk?” “And do you know that's not Zelda?” Marth looks at Peach and then bursts away. Three falls in love with Six and Eight is Jealous. What happens? Captain Falcon is hanging around Link, asking if he would like to go for a drive, just the two of them. How about they go to the gym? Catch some bad guys? Link spends a whole week trying to walk away from the racer who insists on following him, flexing his muscles every now and then. The whole week a jealous Zelda have been pursing her lips and giving them glances until she finally cracks. “People have always talked about you, Link, but I never thought it to be true! If this is how it is going to be I guess that this will have to be farewell!” (She is just trying to get him to spend his time one her). Four jumps you in a dark alley way. Who comes to save you? Samus! I am doomed! No one would take a fight against Samus (screams). One starts a cooking show. 15 minutes later what happens? Mario smiles into the camera, wearing a big chef's hat. “...And that's how you catch a woman with good cooking skills.” Three has to marry eight, four, or nine who will he/she choose? Captain Falcon, you get to choose. Zelda, Samus or Bowser? “Well, the little princess is a bit too young for my taste, but the other two are guys and, I'm sorry, but I don't swing that way.” And then Falcon goes headfirst out the window (Samus was not pleased with that response). Seven kidnaps two and demands something from 5. What is it? Marth kidnaps Peach (well, more like grab her by the arms and puts himself between her and Roy). “Roy, as your friend – or... close acquaintance – I demand that you leave this woman alone. It is not becoming of a gentleman to move in on a taken lady.” Everybody gangs up on three. Does three have a chance in hell? Two words: “FALCOOON PUNCH!” Everybody is invited to two's and ten's wedding except eight. How do they react? Peach keeps tugging at Ganondorf's sleeve. “But Zelda is my best friend! I really want her to come, pretty please?” “No! It's too embarrassing after all I've done.” Zelda sticks her head into the room. “No hard feelings, but may I still advice against the choice of husband?” Why is six afraid of seven? Link is worried that Marth might have a shot at taking Zelda away from him. The delicate situation may not be underestimated. One is late for two's and ten's wedding. What happens? And why were they late? Mario did never plan to go. He sat at a local bar drinking mushroom wine until he gets crazy enough to crash the wedding and steal Peach back. Here comes the knight on his trusty Yoshi! Five and Nine end up drunk at your house. What do you do? I pull out the microphones and make Roy and Bowser play Sing Star. Nine murders two's best friend. What does two do for revenge? Peach says that she will never ever forgive Bowser for this. Then she bangs his head with her frying pan a thousand times before she goes to get Marth so that he can wake Zelda up from the dead with a fairy tale kiss. Six and One are in mortal danger. Will they save each other or will one forget the other and make it out? Mario and Link are experts on those kinds of situations. I have a hard time imagining any of them being troubled. I am pretty sure that they are heroic enough to offer each other help. Eight and three go camping but they forget to bring food. What do they do? Captain Falcon goes hunting while Zelda sets up the camp. It does not take long and then Zelda sneaks off to gather berries and find some fish. Five is in a car crash and is in critical condition. What does nine do? Bowser starts writing a letter to Peach giving his most sincere condolences for the big loss. Have you ever written about six/eight? Link/Zelda. Have I ever not written about them? What would happen if two and eight started going out? Peach and Zelda started going out? As Peach usually hangs around Zelda I think it would take months before anyone noticed. It would probably be the last straw for Link who has been trying to have patience with Peach before. Is nine a major character? Bowser provides the whole conflict to the Mario series. He's major! Do two and six make a good couple? Peach and Link make one lousy couple. Period. What would happen if seven walked in on two and eight kissing? Marth would tear Peach and Zelda apart, while blushing furiously. “Is that a way for ladies to behave?” Peach would be smirking mischievously behind his back. “I know, you better turn Zelda straight by kissing her.” Would three/ten make a good story? Captain Falcon together with Ganondorf would not make the best of stories, would they? I guess a skilled author could make it work. Suggest a title for a seven/ten hurt/comfort short story? Save This Young Prince, My King (Marth and Ganondorf hurt/comfort) Do any of your friends write stories about three? Cimar of Turalis have written Captain Falcon's Basketball. A very good read. Do any of your friends draw or write eight? I know I do, and most of my friends do too. Might be because I'm usually at places where one can run into Princess Zelda fans (smiles sheepishly). Would any of your friends write a short story about nine/four/five? Bowser/Samus/Roy... I do not know. Maybe if I asked really sweetly? If you had a theme song for eight, what might it be? Theme song? That is pretty tough, but Zelda sort of already has one, doesn't she? Zelda's Lullaby? Or should I go with something more modern? 4, 10, 5, and 6 are invited to 7's home for a party. What happens? Samus, Ganondorf, Roy and Link are invited to Marth's home. Everyone except for Roy are locked in the dungeon, Marth throws away the key and says, “good riddance.” Then he pulls out a bowl of popcorn and asks what movie Roy would like to watch. 10 has a birthday, and invites 2, 8, 6, and 9 to his party. What kind of chaos ensues? Peach, Zelda, Link and Bowser are invited to Ganondorf. Link tried to get closer to Zelda. Bowser cheers him on while Ganondorf and Peach work against him. War breaks out. 5 and 7 go to a day camp. What happens? Roy has to convince Marth before he tries any of the activities... every single time. -o- Copy & Paste -o- If you love Mario and hate to see him bashed in fanfictions, copy and paste this onto your profile. I would have posted that dreadfully long stereotype thing here (you know which one I mean) but I found that in most of my cases they were true... |
