My fanfics fall into one of three categories:

CREATIONS change circumstances by asking “WHAT IF?” (What if A has a different job? What if B lives in the age of dinosaurs, in space, or both? What if C didn’t die?) or characters by asking “WHY SHOULDN’T THEY?” (Why shouldn’t ‘canon straight’ A be paired gay (or vice versa)? Why shouldn’t B be another gender/animal/ object? Why shouldn’t C be twenty years older, and a single parent with four kids?

FIXES fill in plot holes by asking “HOW?” (How did A & B repair their friendship? How did C end up with their hand in a cast? How did D get a bald head?) and “WHY?” (Why did A get a promotion? Why did B appear pregnant for three episodes? Why did C suddenly leave the show without notice?)

B.S. stories do not diverge from canon, but are set before series.

PET PEEVE IN FANFICS

My pet peeve in fanfic is PSPS – Protective Superior Person Syndrome. In PSPS, one person (usually older or in a higher professional position) is always the protector, saviour, corrector, coddler, and all-round Good Guy, the other person (usually younger or in an inferior professional position) is always hurt, weak, disabled, in trouble, or otherwise victimised, and the roles are never reversed. C’mon people! Just because a character is younger or less physically able, doesn’t mean they don’t have brains and skills!

I deeply appreciate polite concrit reviews. I do ask, however, that you do not PM people who have reviewed me about their reviews. What they say is between me and them. nobody else!

I can't see one. So I made one - you will (hopefully) notice that my stories have 2 distinct Franks - Commissioner Reagan and Family Man Frank.)
