![]() Author has written 3 stories for MacGyver. This is the first interactive website I have ever been involved in. Call me backward, behind the power curve or old fashioned, but I've just never been much interested in 'social networking'. When I discovered fanfiction.net though, I couldn't resist becoming a member. In fact, I liked it so much that I joined twice. My secondary name is 'yeahsureyoubetcha'. The reasons for having two accounts are complicated, but I guess you could say that I wanted to be neat - or maybe organized is a better word. Basically this account (lauren. macfan) is strictly for my MacGyver stories while the other one is reserved for Stargate SG-1. If any one is interested in checking out my alter ego I've attached the 'other me' to my favorite authors list here for easy access. Also, if you love pictures of RDA and MacGyver, I have a large collection on my Pinterest account. There are three boards actually, one for MacGyver screen captures, one for MacGyver promos, and one for Richard Dean Anderson candid shots. I've posted the link to my Pinterest homepage for anyone who might be interested. Hope you enjoy! :) Okay, so on to more important (albeit less obvious) matters. I'm a Christian first and foremost of the sold out, off the chart, Jesus freak variety. My dream is to write novels that glorify Him and show the world His love like they've never seen it before. Toward that end, I started using fanfiction as a way to hone my writing skills and learn the craft of story telling. My favorite scriptures are Ephesians 2:6 and 1 John 4:17. I'm 26 years old (though most people think I look about 16). I'm half full-blooded Italian, half German-Scandinavian mess, and all American. I am a rescuer at heart. My family and I have seven 'children' of the canine and feline persuasion to prove it. When it comes to animals I live by the motto 'there's always room for one more'. I worked as a 9-1-1 dispatcher for a little over five years, before leaving to devote more time to my Lord, my family, and my writing - in that order. I possess an insatiable interest in Law Enforcement - to the point that I have been known to call out "Look! a police car!" while traveling. My favorite TV shows include Stargate SG-1, MacGyver, Adam-12, Maverick, Dragnet, Perry Mason, and The A-Team. My favorite movies include Star Wars, High School Musical 1 2 and 3, National Treasure 1 and 2, Tangled, Disney's Pocahontas, and numerous flicks from way-back-in-the-day (as in black and white shows from the 1930s-1950s). My taste in music is eclectic to say the least - I like everything from Handel's Messiah to Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons to Josh Turner. My favorite Christian music artist is Carman and my favorite secular artist is Frank Sinatra. My favorite composers are John Williams, Hans Zimmer, John Powell, and Alan Menken. My favorite book is The Robe by Lloyd C. Douglas I enjoy singing, though never in public (my fans include only those of the four-footed variety and my ever loyal steering wheel). I am fascinated by anything mysterious (codes, ciphers, puzzles, riddles, who-dun-its and the like). I love turkey sandwiches and chocolate and try to consume at least one serving of each every day. And now, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has taken the time to review my work. Your support means so much! Every time I read or think about your reviews I find myself grinning from ear to ear. You are the smile on my face that my family just doesn't understand. :) P.S. One quick note about the stories on my favorites list... some of them contain profanity. As a Christian, I do not use nor condone the use of such language. In order to be able to read and enjoy these stories, I have developed a system on my home computer that enables me to filter this content. I know this is a moot point for some, but for me it is quite important. Link to my Pinterest homepage: www (dot) pinterest (dot) com/ebs9194/ Sorry, I tried to use the "insert link" tool for this, but must be doing something wrong. So, we're going to do this the old fashioned way. Just copy the web address listed below and paste it into your browser's search bar. Replace the (dot)'s with periods and eliminate the spaces, and you should be good to go. I hope! |
