Hello there!

I've really never been good at these. Whelp, I'm Najio, obviously. There's... not a hell of a lot else to say. I guess I like spiders? Kind of? I'm actually a little creeped out by the cute lil' buggers, though that's mostly the gangly ones. Jumping spiders are adorable though. Now, on to what y'all actually give a shit about!

In Progress:

Finished:

Wings of Dust (Adopted) - First years at Beacon Dragonry are looking forward to flying with their partners for the first time—but with vengeful former allies coming back to haunt them, secret conspiracies looming in the shadows, and discontent rising among dragons and students alike, they're going to have a lot more to worry about than just their lessons... (Adopted from Solora Goldsun)

Blake vs. Pop Culture - When Yang, Ruby, and Jaune realize their teammates have only seen about eight movies between them, they take it upon themselves to fix that. Unfortunately, it turns out that faunus characters in popular media range from exhausting to downright horrifying. Blake is not amused.

Of Strength and its Pretenders - In which Raven tries and fails to learn to cry. / STRQ backstory, ft. four different types of disaster and a pair of adorable children.

Under the Avalanche - Nicholas Schnee's health may be failing—but after meeting his first granddaughter, he doesn't regret a thing. / Willow knows some things don't come back, once you let them slip away. / Jacques lives to impose order on chaos. Nothing is as chaotic as his children. / Winter learns how to fight a losing battle long before she joins Atlas Academy. / Schnee family headcanons everywhere!

The Midnight Oil - This is a series of six two-shots (12 chapters total), with every possible combination of two characters featured once. They're also... let's call them pseudo-crosses. Meaning they're flavored with other things, but they don't carry over characters or specific settings. More like references, really. How much flavor varies, but I promise you'll never need to know about the cross beforehand.

Silver Script - Silver numbers appear on every child's wrist at birth, counting down until their deaths. Unfortunately, fate is a lot like a third-grader on a multiplication quiz: it never remembers to add units.

Urgent Message - The picture was of a young boy, maybe around Oscar's age, with the same white hair and blue eyes as Weiss. "You have a brother?" It was all Yang could think to say. Then she glanced down and read the text. It was four letters, all lower case, with no punctuation: help

Infighting, Insanity, and Social Ineptitude - In which teams are shuffled; Ruby feels like a one-eyed king in a land where everyone else has two; Dove babysits three avatars of chaos and destruction; and Jaune just wants his team to stop arguing for ten consecutive minutes.

Stairway to Hell - This year, Beacon's practical final exam is more of a formality than anything else. Compared to the Breach, this test is a cakewalk. That is, until the twelve first years discover an anomaly in the woods and end up miles underground. Oops?
Follows Sky, Pyrrha, and Blake as POV characters.

What Can Shine - When a Dementor is brought to Beacon to help students learn the Patronus Charm, it turns out finding a happy memory that works is a lot harder than it sounds. Borrows some of the mechanics of Dementors and Patronuses from the Methods of Rationality, though reading that isn't necessary to understanding this. Oneshot.

Bittersweet - Coil takes a less-than-friendly interest in the city's newest Tinker. Has its main home on Spacebattles, but I figured I'd put it up here for anyone who doesn't want to read something in a forum format.

Percy Jackson and the Kid He Ran Over - A source of perpetual embarrassment, last updated about a year and a half long damn time ago. Basically, there's an amnesiac OC in the forest that gets run over by the protagonist on his way to camp. If you just threw up in your mouth a little, that's fair. Suffers from a terrible case of canon-jitis, so you probably already know the plot. I cannot in good conscience recommend actually reading this.

Graveyard:

The Lord of the Plants and All His Bad Luck - Sequel to Percy Jackson and the Kid He Ran Over, in which: The second book. Actually starts doing its own thing, a little, about halfway through. Was written into a corner, in which it died.

When the Game Just Hates You - A crossover between Heroes of Olympus and Minecraft. Follows Tyx, a sorcerer in game who accidentally the universe and brings a bunch of characters into Minecraft. It... seemed to have a sense of humor, at least. Didn't get very far, though.

Cleverbot is Weird - ...I don't even, okay?! Cleverbot is dropped into the story, after everything of interest had already happened I believe, and proceeds to scare the hell out of everyone around him. Was actually pretty fun to write, though it won't be continued.

A Tale of Amusement and Horror - Characters read fanfiction, basically. Never got beyond the first couple chapters of one story, and... I mean, if you're going to do that and be funny, the story you use has got to be either mind-numbingly bad or a lemon. Or both. The one I used was neither, at least not as far as I got.

Note: Rather a lot of what's on here was actually written over two years ago, during which time I... definitely had no idea what the hell I was doing. Not that I do now, but it was worse at the time. Basically, they make me cringe. A lot. I just felt sort of bad about deleting them, since stuff like that was how I actually started learning to write. God, all this nostalgia is making me fond of those abominations again. NO! BACK, VILE DEMONS!

I'd also like to mention that I like the idea of collaborative writing... but I don't actually know anyone in person who's interested in that sort of thing, so! If anyone's out looking for a writing partner, I might be interested.
