I wrote this shortly after finishing the last Artemis Fowl book (ok, immediately after), deciding that I didn't like the cliffhanging ending to a series. This is the beginning of my own series of Artemis Fowl stories, as I now have ideas for more adventures.

In the heat of the moment, some ponies have a habit of letting things out. Sometimes they are minor things that most just shrug off and forget about in a matter of milliseconds. Sometimes they are things that, once revealed, shake the very foundation of their existence. Rarity's latest revelation falls into the latter.

Artemis gets shot when he jumps in front of Butler to save him. He gets rushed down to the J. Argon clinic in critical condition. Holly is haunted by the memories of that fateful night. When she finally gets to go and see him, she is shocked to discover that it's not exactly Artemis in control of the teenager's body. Post TLG. My first fic. Just your trashy, guilty pleasure go-to.

Because, let's be honest, an ending that wide open is nothing more than a thinly-veiled request for someone else to do what needs to be done. Therefore, this author has completely disregarded TLG's thoughts re: endings and done just that; despite it not being marketable to a YA audience or people with biology degrees. Post-TLG, A/H no longer just implied, now an undeniable fact.

Nine months after the events in the last guardian, Artemis ponders his actions of forcing his soul into this clone body. Also on AO3.

The fields surrounding the house were turning a beautiful golden shade, reminiscent of an expensive gown of bronze and aureate, rippling and stretching along the canvas of the land in a sparkling wave. The Irish boy himself was a mere addition to the photographic perfection. But his thoughts weren't on the scenery, and much less his own vanity. Because, who was he, really?

He always did love her voice. He had, at one point, accidentally heard her sing. It was the only time he heard it. And yet, he always brought it up, somehow. Never jesting, just pointing to the fact that it went so unappreciated by all except him. And then he would ask her to someday sing for him, at a moment of peace that he could really listen. Now, she owed it to him.

In the end, he was just the wind surrounding her, reminding her with his unforgettable presence that just a spark of decency was all that was needed to create a beautiful person. There was no denying the feeling she got when she walked into Fowl Manor and found it empty. Unwittingly she drew her neutrino, her ears prickling with anxiety. Holly is feeling under the weather, and for once Artemis is a bit unsure of what to do. As it turns out, the boy genius isn't very good at interacting with hysterical elves. He finds out that fairy PMS can be pretty dangerous. The hard way.

"It's important. Please, Holly." That made her turn around; the sheer vulnerability in his voice, the emotion behind the words that Artemis usually hid so well.

On Holly's routine visit to check on Artemis, she ends up in a ticklish situation.

All of us, sooner or later, have to stop and cast a look behind us to see the road we have travelled in our lives. The right choices. The wrong ones. The things said. The things unsaid. And what if it was a certain Scrooge McDuck to do so?

Artemis has already told us how he feels, but Holly's still undecided. Oneshot, and that's the way it's going to stay ;)

First fic in a while. First Artemis Fowl fic ever. Post TAC, Holly and Artemis have got to have THAT conversation. It goes surprisingly well. In terms of shipping, it's deeper than friendship, but not girlfriendy/boyfriendy.

Just think of all the things one can keep in closets: brooms, boots, skeletons, sexualities, dirty clothes, the possibilities are endless, really... This is me jumping on the drabble-wagon.
