I love what-if. What if history had happened differently? What if the Cold war had turned hot? What if the US never used their atomic bomb on Hiroshima? What if humans had never evolved on earth? What if aliens attack? What if inter-universal transport is not only possible, but it happens every day? What if Operation Overlord had failed? What if George Washington had not escaped from New York in 1776? What if General Robert E. Lee had won the War Between the States? What if the Alabama had sunk the Kearsarge? What if President Roosevelt had lost the 1942 election? What if the US had forewarning of the Pearl Harbor attack. I love to write stories about what if scenarios. This is why I love Taylor Anderson's Destroyermen series, John Birmingham's Axis of Time trilogy, Harry Turtledove's works in general, and Tom Clancy's many books.
