Poll Information I Hate Everything About You Merlin's suddenly gone from sweet and caring to cold and insufferable. He finds it harder and harder to keep his annoyed and fed-up self under wraps, sparking a commotion among the knights and Gwen. They're all watching each other like hawks when Merlin's at his grumpiest. At Gwen's impromptu "Merlin Meetings" in the dead of the night, they blame each other, and gossip flows from passing servants' mouths like drinks from clay jugs at the tavern when Gwaine's paying for everybody. All the while, Merlin's shaking on his bed, desperately wishing for it all to end.Wish Upon A Shooting Star Modern AU. Mentions of intense self-harm and depression. Merlin's an emotional wreck. His mom's did in a car crash. His father's dying of terminal cancer. To top it all off, his father's will dictates that Merlin's legal guardian after his death will be none other than Uther Pendragon. Merlin's never even met the guy, nor his two children. A new city, new school, new house, new everything. Everything he's ever known changes when he's slated to move from Ealdor to Camelot; from the proverbial rags to the literal riches. Merlin's not sure if he can stomach it all.Recklessly Caring for the Emotional Wreck Merlin spirals down into depression after word of his mother's death reaches Camelot. He spends a week and a half shacked up in his bedroom. Arthur and the knights each take turns keeping watch (more like listening) over their friend. When Merlin finally emerges, he's a complete wreck and totally un-Merlin like. His condition gets worse and worse and it's up to Arthur and Co. to patch him back up. They'll stop at nothing to get Merlin back, but when Merlin refuses to cooperate, they don't know what to do.This Is War War/Army AU. Modern AU. Arthur, a skilled general, is forced to teach his quirky tactician the ways of the soldier. It soon becomes obvious that Merlin's got two left feet, and suddenly, they're thrust into battle. Uther forces Merlin to go with Arthur's team, saying that even though he can barely lift a gun, his mind's awake every second and his acute hearing's almost legendary. Merlin's nervous at the notion of war again. Arthur has no idea of what Merlin's seen, no idea what war has done to Merlin or why he'd even joined the army. Merlin just hopes he'll never have to use his abilities ever again. Not ever again.You're the Only Place That Feels Like Home Modern AU. Mergana. Arwen on the side. Morgana's been kicked out of the house, brought back in, and accidentally locked out far too many times, and she's had enough. After Uther changes the locks without telling her again ("There was another robbery, I'm so sorry, Morgana, it won't happen again!"), she runs off to a whole other city via train. Awe-struck by the sheer homey feel, she bumps into a man on the street. Little does she know that this man is going to make this small town feel like more of a home that Uther's extravagant house ever did.Hey, Jude Modern AU. Mergana. Arwen on the side. Merlin's shy, Morgana's loud. She's wheedled her way into his heart, and he understands her more than anybody she's ever known. Despite their obvious attraction and one or two (accidental) kisses, they've yet to actually confront each other about their feelings. Arthur's in a bit of a mischievous mood, and so are his rugby buddies. His little plan suddenly becomes a full-blown mission as everybody hears and goes wild, tired of seeing the subjects dancing around each other and their feelings. Even Uther pitches in; apparently Merlin already passed the "Fatherly Inspection of Death" long ago.
