My Top Five Favourite Characters

FIRST: Richard (Dick) Grayson (Nightwing/Robin DC Comics)

My overall FAVOURITE Character.

He was trained under THE Batman, allowing him to master a variety of useful combat, detective, and life skills. What sets Dick apart from the caped crusader is his friendly personality, beautiful smile, quick wit, and natural leadership qualities. He is known for his acrobatic ability, along with his amazing flexibility and inner strength.

Dick began as Batman's ward and partner, donning the persona of Robin the Boy Wonder. Later on in the comics, he outgrows this identity and becomes the legendary Nightwing. I believe he is the heart of the DC Universe.

SECOND: Percy Weasley (Harry Potter)

Percy isn't a perfect character but a flawed one. He makes mistakes and suffers from the consequences, but ultimately takes responsibility and grows.

Over the years, Percy has achieved both his academic and workforce goals. He successfully gained top grades in both his OWLs and NEWTs; and then after graduating Hogwarts as Head Boy, he immediately secured employment within the Ministry of Magic. He was focused, engaged, and interested in his job. When Crouch Sr. disappeared, Percy ensured the continued running of the Department of International Magical Cooperation.

Percy was recognized for his outstanding work during this period and was promoted to Junior Assistant to the Minister. If the Minister of Magic had only wanted him as a potential spy, Percy would have been demoted almost immediately after they learnt that he would not help them. The argument this incited was uncalled for, as Arthur (the adult) should have known better. It was heartbreaking to read this huge miscommunication but at least Percy finally stood up for himself, took charge of the situation, and left.

Percy is intelligent, ambitious, a natural leader, and DOESN'T deserve the hate directed towards him.

THIRD: Zuko (Avatar the Last Airbender)

Zuko starts out in the series as an arrogant teenage prince, with little to no appreciation for those around him. However he is an exceptionally driven and determined person; in pursuit of not just the Avatar but his honour.

He is the most dynamic character on the show. Learning the importance of family, the meaning of respect and of leadership, and the difficulty in taking the right path. Zuko is steadfast, heroic, strong, and caring; earning his spot on my favourites list

FOURTH: Kenny McCormick (South Park)

Despite having practically inaudible dialogue, Kenny has always been able to make me laugh.

He one of the more compassionate and protective residents of South Park. Readily available to defend his younger sister Karen from bullies, sacrificing himself to Satan for his friends, or patrolling the town as his costumed persona - Mysterion.

He's boyish, perverted, cheerful, and has an incredible secret. Kenny has a superpower; the inability to stay dead. He often struggles with the pain this curse brings him and the ridiculous amount of times he has died a horrific death.

FIFTH: Meowth (Pokémon)

Using determination, resolution and intelligence, Meowth has broken the communication barrier between trainers and Pokémon. He strives to become the best that he can be, rise up within the Team Rocket Foundation, and achieve the status of 'Top Cat'.

He has a wondeful dynamic with his teammates and friends, Jessie and James. Although he has suffered many humiliating defeats, Meowth is slowly earning the fame he has always wanted. He is recognized as one of the few Pokemon with the unique gift of human speech; which he self taught.
