My name is Beatriz Silva, I'm 16 years old and I'm Portuguese.

The thing I like to do most besides reading books, is writing them. Whether it's a romance, an adventure or a drama, everything that I like to do is create characters in my head and bring them to life on the sheet of paper, give them a story, a future, something to fight for and a reason to live.

I think I don't really need to say that my biggest dream is to become a writer.

I'm not silly, I know there are many like me, hidden in their homes with huge stories waiting to be discovered by someone and become JK Rowlings, JRR Tolkiens or even Nicholas Sparks'. The truth is that many will die without that dream come true and many others will die in the hope of being realized. Very few, perhaps less than 1% will even publish a book and only 0.005% will come to be known worldwide.

This is the reality, but that doesn't stop me from dreaming, and even if one day I can't, at least I can share my stories with someone, with you, in the hope that my stories won't die without ever being heard.

Because one day the wisest person I have ever known said that no history lives unless someone wants to listen.
