As the team waits to hear if Sweets is going to make it, his apartment is set on fire killing everyone in the building. The team races to try and track down the one targeting Sweets before his attacker strikes again. Sweets isn't dealing with everything as well as they all thought.

Sweets has a past that no one expected. When a case comes up that brings Sweets' past to the team they are about to find out that their Psychologist is much more than they ever expected him to be. Booth is rocked by an even bigger secret from Sweets' past that he never expected. With this new information Booth is determined to not only keep Sweets alive and finally start living.

Full Summary Inside: What if Sweets didn't die from his injuries in Season ten. The team has to try and keep Sweets safe while he struggles to recover and is in pain. They have to try and figure out just what Sweets has been up to this past year in order to put an end to this war once and for all. It's up to Booth to think like Sweets, but can he get past the guilt he feels?

After a science lab blows up in their face, Zack ends up hospitalized for a few weeks. Milo can't help but blame himself. He needs to convince himself to just accept that he's dangerous to be around - No matter what anyone else might say. Oneshot, it's just really long.

Is an accident really just an accident or was it intentional to draw out Dr. Sweets? The recent and mysterious discovery of a young girl brings up a lot of questions Sweets would rather forget but fail when his past returns.
