MY WORKS CONCERNING MENTAL HEALTH, DEPRESSION AND SUICIDE

Dear Readers,
I wish to clarify that the fiction I write IS NOT a glamour-fication of Mental Health, Depression or the idea of Suicide. All are very serious matters in themselves and anyone who is copying with any of these are not to be disrespected in anyway.

Just because I write about depression does not mean I am disrespecting it or advertising it as interesting or glamorous.

IT IS NOT.

I know, because I have first-hand experience to all accounts.

Self Harm was my coping method and when it didn’t work, Suicide seemed the only reliable option. I never wanted anyone to know how broken I was or how my happiness was fake, so I never talked to anyone, I listened to the voices and I almost took my life several times.

I found help through friends and I am getting better because everyone saw I had given up. I didn’t cry for help, but they came anyway.

People do care, you just have to find them.

And if you know anyone who is suffering/coping, BE THERE FOR THEM. They may feel like the only person in the Universe, and THEY WILL NEED YOU!

That said, if you need an ear, or you need to vent, vent to me.

I have been where you are. I know what it’s like, and it’s not a nice place to be.
