Story Announcements

A Field of White: I'm continuing to post. Very little has changed in it, but I have edited the first four chapters. I probably won't be updating for a while, because although the few who review leave me the loveliest of notes, I'm really not getting much of a reader response. I don't write for my readers. I write for my readers who review. So since I'm only writing for three or four of you anyways, I'm sorry, but I'm going to work on some of my pieces that no one reads, because they're more fun to write right now.

The Lion and The Shark: EDITED AND REPOSTED. You should know that I've been the most useless, unmotivated, worthless lump there ever has been in this process and my beta, Enjie practically dragged me through my lack of discipline and organization and got me to a point where I could repost. I think her editing was 70% of the work, and my writing only 30%.

The Lion and The Shark 2: Reposted plus two new chapters. Er, I'll update this soon, I swear. As soon as I figure out how the French law enforcement works. I've actually got the chapter done, but I just have blank spaces next to the character's jobs, because I don't know who would be in charge of what for a French criminal investigation.

Bored: One of those fics that I'm revamping! Inspired by my jealousy at Luke Benz for having an awesome stalker!Mello fic, so I started my own, but you should still go check out his "Unsought Shadows".

Sex Ed: Never coming back up. Sorry. If you want a copy, PM me and I can email it to you.

Compatibility: Kind of an experiment with my narrative voice. More dialogue than anything else, but it's what I consider my most realistic portrayal of the relationship between Mello and Near. If you're a stickler for people being in character, you'll like this one, even if it's not as cute and fluffy as some of my other bits. Temporarily down for repairs.

Runaway: My very first non-Death Note fic. Be sure to leave lots of feedback so I know how I did.

If you like Death Note (which I assume you do, since you're on my page and that's all I've written for) I highly recommend the BBC series "Sherlock" in which Sherlock acts extremely L in his detecting (sending texts to everyone in a room, generally pwning the lesser human beings) and the Korean film "Haunters" in which shinigami-like powers are shown, but in a DNish style (very BB). Also, when the lead for the latter came out, I almost fell off the couch because he looks EXACTLY like L in the way he dresses and also the unnerving gaze thing. Did anyone besides me notice that the guy who designed Ted from The Lorax basically gave Matt a Who makeover? Yes, Matt from Death Note and Ted from The Lorax wear the same costume. Down to the goggles. Look it up, you'll see.

Stuff About Me

I'm a good writer. I am. Unfortunately, I've been gifted with the ability to write coherent first drafts, and I'm usually too lazy to edit beyond that. Even a good first draft is just a first draft. It doesn't matter so much in the world of fanfiction, but I want to be a writer. I'm currently in the process of wrapping up all of my stories so that you all can have satisfactory endings, and I can have free time for real writing again. Good news is I'll probably post all of the one-shots I never did.
