Author has written 1 story for Batman. While I'm currently a writer and actor who self-produces solo comedies which I perform at theatre festivals across North America, there was a time when I had an actual... whaddya call those things? Oh right, a "job." For about ten years, I had the geek dream job of working at a comic shop, where I read far more comics than I thought humanly possible for a kid pulling minimum wage. Like most creative fools, I quit that job so I could travel the world and perform my shows, and I even gained a lovely and long-suffering Henchgirl along the way in the form of Bat-Fic goddess BiteMeTechie. Currently, we're just trying to maintain our tenuous grips on sanity as we await the arrival of our first child, whose coming will likely shake the foundations of all fandom across time and space. Maybe. I've been a huge fan of Batman in general and Harvey Dent in particular ever since I was about nine years old, when I discovered them both in the first two comics I ever read: 1.) the third part of the "A Lonely Place of Dying" storyline which introduced Tim Drake, and 2.) The Untold Legend of Batman, the definitive take on Batman and his world as of 1980, which featured a full-page origin for Two-Face. Maybe it was just the magical artwork about Jim Aparo, but something about the character got under my skin, finally exploding into full-blown fandom once I rediscovered the character in Batman: The Animated Series, followed by witnessing a perfect of example of how NOT to depict the character thanks to the release of Batman Forever. Shortly thereafter, I became a published writer whose works appeared in several DC Comics... letters columns, most notably issues of The Long Halloween, Detective Comics, and The Spectre. Oh, and I wrote for Buzzboy. Currently, I run the net's preeminent Two-Face-centric fanblog, featuring reviews, news, scans and other fannish nonsense: http:// Stop by sometime! |
