I'm raising money for a very important cause through The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light The Night Walk: finding better treatments and cures for blood cancers so patients can live better, longer lives.
Did you know that more than one million Americans are living with or in remission from a blood cancer? That is why my goal is to raise one million dollars for the walk. LLS offer a variety of programs and services to patients and their families in support of their mission. That mission is cure leukemia, lymphoma Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Their programs include
- Investing more than $874 million dollars in research since 1954.
- Assisting patients through support groups and two different kinds of financial ad.
- Sharing the latest scientific and treatment advancements through professional education seminars and
- Advocating for legislation in the best interest of blood cancer patients

Cancer had invaded your blood and you need to fight it. You’re scared. You don’t know what to do. What would a support group mean to you? It will help you realize you’re not alone in this fight. Maybe you’ll make some new friends who know what you’re going through. Financial aid would mean being able to afford lifesaving treatment. It could mean the difference between dying and seeing your son take his first steps. It could mean the difference between dying and being at your daughter’s wedding. It could mean the difference between dying and celebrating your anniversary. It could mean the difference between dying and living. This isn’t about raising money. It’s about raising an opportunity for life.
