Hello, and welcome to my profile! *waves*

There's not much to say about me. I'm an educator, a mom and a geek -- not necessarily in that order.

Former obsessions:
Pride and Prejudice. I'm also a big fan of Austen's Juvenalia. (I'm definitely more about Love and Freindship [sic] than Mansfield Park.)

Anime, especially Koko wa Greenwood, Rurouni Kenshin, Tenkuu no Escaflowne and Fruits Basket. (I'm proud to say I was a Kyoru before it was canon.)

Discworld. Anything Night Watch, witches or Death-related is good in my book. I love Carrot/Angua and Mister Vimes but am more of a Cheery Littlebottom, myself.

Girls with guns. Aliens rocked my world.

New obsessions:
Dragon Age: Origins. An amazing dark fantasy RPG. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll convince the love of your life to impregnate a swamp witch in order to save his soul. Yeah.

Mass Effect 2. Another Bioware RPG and a space opera of epic proportions. Who doesn't want to shoot their problems in the head once in a while? And if Garrus doesn't make your FemShep xenocurious there is something seriously wrong with you.

The Aubrey/Maturin novels by Patrick O'Brien. Someone please write a Maturin/Christine Wood fic! Thanks. Bonus points for mentioning the potto.

My strengths as a writer:

Dialogue and characterization. I mostly write to better define the relationship between two (or more) characters I love.

My weaknesses as a writer:

Plot and description. Plot? What's that? Description? It's a brown chair. What more do you want? (My RL job consists of accurately describing things in a completely dry, ungrammatical and uninteresting manner, and that spills over into my fics.)
