CURRENT NEWS: June/July 2012

Greetings, fellow readers, writers, and reviewers! It's been about 2 1/2 months since I've updated my profile or any of my current projects. Life threw me a big curve-ball - I'm going through a divorce at this time. On top of school and other random chaos, it's been hard to give the muse any time to run free. Thankfully, it looks like the summer is going to settle down into something like normality; be sure to check here for any major updates. Just as a head's up, though, yours truly will be taking on a full-time job for the first time in a couple years and finishing up the very last of an undergraduate degree (I'll graduating this December). So, the muse might have to play second fiddle again, as I re-adjust to what life throws me. But, please know that I haven't given up on any of my current projects - it might take me a LOT longer than expected, but I plan to finish whatever I've started. Much love and thanks to all of you who continue to follow my writing, leave behind reviews, and encourage me to keep going, even when I can't see the forest for the trees. One day, I'll look back on all the finished stories in this profile and say "I did it." :)

Going to CVI? If you know what "CVI" stands for, chances are that you're probably planning to attend. If you'd like to meet yours truly in person (and in an official Mandalorian Mercs costume), just shoot me a PM closer to August and we'll arrange a meet-and-greet! I'd love to meet some of the folks who have been reading/reviewing - who knows? You might just inspire me to double my efforts in the muse arena. ;-)

CURRENT PROJECT

A Thousand Suns: Rebellion - The continuation of A Thousand Sons: Redemption. Commander Cody has finally moved on from the nothing he had become. But, just when he begins to think that maybe his lot in life was to live in bucolic anonymity with his Jedi lover and their adopted Mandalorian "father", the Force unveils a much bolder destiny - one of rebellion, defiance, and family.

I, Mand'alor: Truth: A jaded smuggler with far too many secrets and a rare sense of honor stumbles on a Sith plot that he can't be paid to ignore. A fierce Mandalorian matriarch gathers what's left of her tattered clan and takes an unpopular stand against a dishonorable Mand'alor. A retired Republic officer is forced to face his past as the galaxy's one last hope for peace. Fate (or, as some would say, the Force) brings these unlikely allies together in one final bid to hold back the Empire's vast darkness - a bid that hinges entirely on Mandalorian loyalties. (Set during the Republic Dark Age, circa 1,500 BBY; original fanfiction.)

Virtues From A Certain Point of View - A series of vignettes based on events explored in the fannon established in A Thousand Suns: Redemption and A Thousand Suns: Rebellion. Each chapter is it's own stand-alone short story, written around one of the thirteen knightly virtues and a particular clone (or original character [OC] from A Thousand Suns and intended sequels). So far, the following virtues and clones/characters have been written: Truth (Commander Fox and Padme); Generosity (Fives); Courage (Sheresh Par'jain - OC - and 99); Fidelity (Captain Korbin - OC); Chivalry (Chopper); Faith (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, Commander Wolffe).

NOTE: Truth has been edited since its original posting in December '10; Generosity is pending a rewrite at this time.
