Hello! Welcome to my profile!

I am in the middle (or the beginning?) of changing my username to Fancy Pants Penguin. You can still call me Jiao-Jie if you want, though; I left it in there for a while so you all don't get confused if you knew me before. I'm hoping this will eliminate the, "Er...I don't remember subscribing to this person's author alert?" conundrum.

The basics!

I am a fairly nerdy girl although in real life I hide it pretty well.

I'm kind of strange and you will probably notice that quickly.

I really enjoy talking to people, so send me a message! I am (usually) a really nice person. Maybe a little toonice, and very impatient.

I have been a member of this site for a little bit over a year and in that time I have written only Avatar (YES the last airbender...the cartoon) fanfiction. I'd like to say that I'm going to branch out to another fandom soon, but with the new TV show coming and all of the ideas I still have to write (see below, if you're interested!), I am not sure that's going to happen anytime soon.

I do read stories from other fandoms, though.

I'm very good at math, and not so good at writing. That's one of the reasons that I like to write fanfiction; it gives me a chance to practice my writing and story telling. The other is that it is just fun to finish the plotlines or make up new ones for movies/cartoons/books/whatevers.

Reviews?

Yes, I give them. For almost every story I read I give a review. A real one, not an, "OMFG SO SWWEEEET!" or a, "this is teh suxxors," but a real review where I tell you what I thought you did an awesome job on, as well as what I think you could improve on. I do try to be nice about it, and if you think I'm too harsh in a review I will take it down; I know some people don't want any CC they just want to write their story and I can respect that.

I do not flame.

On the exact opposite note, if you do want me to review your story (honestly, but no flames) just shoot me a message. My review style is a general critique; what's good and what's not so good. For instance, I won't go through and correct every one of your spelling mistakes but if that is an issue I'll tell you you need to check your spelling.

There are times when I won't leave a review. If I just favorite it...it means it's awesome and I don't have any corrections or anything to say except how awesome it is.
OR
It's so bad I don't want anyone to know I read it, there's nothing I can do to help you, and you need to stop writing immediately. In this case, I guess you won't know either. Honestly, there has only been a couple of these, so about 99.96 /- 0.001% of you author's don't need to worry about this being your story.

My Stories! In Progress!

King of Kings, I Love Bad Fanfiction, Opposites (GAH THIS TITLE SUCKS): All of these are on hiatus until I get my creativity back...sadface. I'm sorry to everyone who has subscribed or was looking forward to the next installments, I will still do my best to finish these one day since I had some epic stories planned.

A story with no title yet!: I am working on a story about Yue at the moment and it will soon have the first couple of chapters published, but it does not yet have a title!

A Fishy Crime Continued: One of Fyre's prompts from her IBF! week was just too awesome for me to pass up. I am adopting the 'A Fishy Crime' prompt and I will soon be writing a one/two/threeshot about what happens when evil spirits roam the world at night!

A Governor's Daughter: YES. FINALLY. The epic(ish) final installment of my Fire Nation Girls triad! I have been meaning to do this since I finished A Circus Freak, but I was just hit with a mini plot bunny, and if this goes the way they normally do, that will evolve into a real bunny and a multi-chapter fic will be born!
