Azula's childhood has always intrigued me. I think you did a good job of setting it up, creating her into the person she was on the show.

Now you really made me cry. The story of Azula is so sad, but did the last scene really happen? Really good though!

So sad! This actually made me cry. You are a REALLY good writer with a capital "r". I mean it.

Its weird how Zuko though thtat to himself in the last line and look what happened.

Aww...brilliant. It's so touching. I just want to let you know that this is an extremely good story, and I enjoyed every word of it. Truthfully.

I love the "Fengkuang Island" bit. Even though everything's so serious and all...well. You do know where that came from, right? Google translate? Hehe.

This is beautiful. It shows that Zuko really cares. Some stories portray Zuko as not caring for Azula, but any older brother, even one with a sister like Azula, ESPECIALLY one with a sister like Azula, would love their sister. I've always thought it unfair that Zuko had all the support from Ursa and Iroh and all (plus the fans), while Azula was left with Ozai and her naive, breaking soul. Sheesh.

I've always been intrigued by the parallels between Sokka-Katara and Zuko-Azula. Maybe I'll do a story on this. Let me just add that to the list-of-stuff-I-want-to-write-but-will-never-get-around-to-writing. Heh.

I really really like this story, and I'll be reading ALL your stories, so be prepared! ;D

It's lovely. This has got to be the best chapter yet. I love the descriptions, and I'm that close to crying right now. It's terribly sweet, especially the last scene. I love the part where Azula was lying on Zuko's bed and she found the toy. It's heartbreaking. All the memories...they're perfect, and they touch my heart.

What ever happened to Azula? Now I'm just waiting for "The Search" to come out, so I can know what happened to Azula. I want a happy ending. Please. And now, grateful that there's one more chapter...here it goes :')

Hey! That's the same scene from "A Circus Freak"! Haha, I spotted it ;) I like this. Azula, just speaking without thinking, and then losing all that's dear to her. Tragic.

Is the aura thing real? Or did you make it up? That's so cool. And I like what you did with Ty Lee seeing Azula's tunic instead of her aura. HA XD Typical Ty Lee. I'm like, enchanted with her character. If she were real, I'd definitely want to be her friend. She's adorable!

You know, every time I come the end of a chapter, I tell myself "I should really stop reading and go WRITE something. Update my story. Let one of my plot-bunnies get realized." But no, I don't. I just type in a lengthy review (I know, I know, I ramble. A LOT.) and click "next". Haish. Okay, I shall go write AFTER I finish this story. Just two more chapters. Sadly.

Want to know what I think? I think this story is pure awesome. Seriously. But then, you probably think I'm just flattering or something. Oh well. This chapter is great. All the flashbacks, perfectly expressed from Azula's POV. I've nothing to say but good job! :D

Oh, and the Chinese is wrong. I learn Chinese (but I'm not very good at it). This phrase is directly translated, and it says "forever don't give up no fight then retreat" :P Let me try to rephrase that...um...let's see...永远不能不战而退. See, 不战而退 (bu zhan er tui) means to retreat without a fight, while 永远不能 means "forever cannot". It doesn't make much sense in English. But, oh well. So, I think my translation is accurate, but as I said, I'm not very good at Chinese.

Heh, all of us have been victims to Google translate as well, don't worry. I remember, when I was being lazy and had just discovered Google translate, that I actually translated an entire reflection/essay using this. And the teacher wrote in the corner "Don't translate off the Internet". In Chinese, of course. I kept wondering how she could tell XP Haha XD

Ohmigosh. I'm so sad now...Azula ;_; You did a really good job of describing Azula's pain and the reason why she'd have blue fire. I've always wondered. This chapter's really good (like all the others). I'll go on to read more :D

Ouch. Azula's training seems so intense and frightening. Especially since she can't be more than 12 in this chapter. It just dawned on me how Lo and Li were able to teach Azula, since, well, they're old ladies. What you've mentioned is so true. And Ozai...what can I say. Meanie.

And now I've gotten mad at Ursa, too. How can she be so biased? Like, seriously. She's pampering Zuko so much and ignoring Azula. Hmmph. Poor Azula, I'm so depressed now. See the power of your words? They made me cry.

Aww...I love this so much. I feel all warm and fluffy now :) To all the people who think that Azula is a heartless, horrible monster, read this chapter! Azula DOES feel guilt and all the other emotions. She just buries them until she couldn't take it anymore. Poor girl D:

I love the line "it was rare that her mother came in and put her to bed herself; only when she was in trouble it seemed". This explains Azula's character so deeply. It shows that Ursa WAS actually biased towards Zuko, and well, indirectly, she caused Azula to think that getting into trouble was the easiest, if not only, way to get her mother's attention. And thus, all the trouble. And Azula wanting to please Father since Mother favored Zuzu anyway; it's all shown in this chapter. Oh gosh, you're amazing. Do you have a degree in writing or something like that? How do you phrase the story so prettily?

Now, excuse me while I go and emo about the unfairness of the universe and how Azula went crazy under the pressure when she's only an innocent 15 year-old...
