![]() Author has written 11 stories for Hetalia - Axis Powers, Beyond the Boundary/境界の彼方, and Batman. Boring shit you don't care about: I'm an artist, specifically a printmaker, and a right-brained, nerdy, out-spoken introvert. I like people and think people are beautiful. Other places you can find me: I can't get my links to work, but my tumblr is youremarvelous and my AO3 is youaremarvelous, so, easy. ~ You or Your Memory: 11/13/14: Why is it every time I write fic for a different fandom I get nervous? Hopefully my Hetalia readers don't hate me. Anyway, I really like the character of Jason Todd and I think his character is done a huge disservice in the majority of material in which he appears. I was reading Lost Days and --while I enjoyed it--it seemed a little idyllic. So I thought, well, what if he wasn't thrown in the Lazarus Pit--what if Jason actually had to deal with the repercussions of the injuries that killed him? And then this fic was sparked. Also, this is not easy to write because I'm realizing I suck at writing action scenes. I need to watch some wrestling or something haha. Anyway, it's way too late. Thanks for anyone that read this. Hope you are all well and happy! Numbered Lithograph: 9/29/15: ??????!??!??!?!? ?? Um. Your guess is as good as mine. I didn't really edit this at all, forgive me. Anons: Since I can't thank you in reply I'm leaving a message here for you: thank you for your reviews!! You guys often write the nicest things to me and it's SO appreciated. I hope you're all well and happy! To people that have recommended my work/drawn fanart/written songs/what have you: LET ME LOVE YOU!!!!!! GAH. Cannot express how excited I get when I see such things. You are all amazing and beautiful and dear and sweet and marvelous. Story Notes: This Old Routine: It kills me how much is hinted at but left unsaid in Beyond the Boundary. I think the details are what make a lot of the plot points exploitative rather than evoking real emotional barriers and tribulations, which they absolutely could do. And maybe these questions are touched on in the light novels, unfortunately I haven't gotten to read them. Either way, I like the characters and I like their struggles, so I felt like filling in some spaces. My Love is Like a Powder Keg: I've been having trouble sleeping lately and I couldn't sleep last night and so I wrote this. Trying out a different style because it's a one-shot and I felt like it. :P Hope it can provide like 2 minutes of entertainment. I'm working on the sequel to NL, promise, just got a bit more research to do (because I'm oh so anal). Starving to Death (...): I had the first part of this thing written weeks ago and, even though I knew what it was about, I couldn't figure out how to write it. Anyway, I was alone last night for the first night in a long time and I got all introspective and mopey so I finished it up. So it's probably a little self-serving and I apologize for that. It's just, I like pointing out why their relationship isn't perfect, but why it works anyway. Still tweaking around with different ways of writing, hope it's not too distracting. (ps: if you're not familiar with the Greek mythological figure Tantalus, a quick google search may help your understanding of this ficlet ;) ) Wild Reeds (...): I'd like to thank tensai-gaki for giving me the request that inspired this fic :) I always find dialogue exceptionally hard to write so this offered some good practice, plus I want to illustrate the spectrum of the relationship, which of course includes happier/more carefree times. Ummm...what else, title is influenced by the musical competition between Pan and Apollo. Midas was the judge and refused to admit Apollo was the winner so Apollo gave him the ears of an ass. Midas hid the ears under hats and only his barber knew, but the barber was sworn not to tell any living soul Midas' secret. So the barber whispered the secret into a hole in a field and reeds grew from the hole: every time wind blew through the reeds they would whistle, "Midas has the ears of an ass!" So yeah. Chapter 24 of NL: I'm basing Lovino's work off the black and white lithographs of Robert Rauschenberg. If you're not familiar, do google him, as he's an extremely talented artist (who regrettably passed away only a few years ago). As an aside, for inquiring minds, pen name is drawn from this wonderful bit of prose by Charles Bukowski: your life is your life Know it and live it, you beautiful people. Happy reading to all! xoxo |
