![]() Author has written 6 stories for Naruto. Update, 7/9/2011 and updated again, 7/16/2011 Cheekypo has drawn an awesome artwork for Daisies! This is just as I had thought it would look. Check it out here: http:///#/d3lgzz4 Daisies was inspired by Clearheart aka Bluerising's charming art over at the LJ KakaSaku Community. Here's a link to that post: http:///616220.html?view=3422748#t3422748 Life's been... well, LIFE. Crazy, unexpected, somewhat alarming at times. I haven't written anything in too long and haven't drawn in even longer. In fact I have an art trade that I'm planning... and it is still on my 'to do' drawing board. That is ok. The important thing is that I'm enjoying life and managing to make everything make some sort of sense even though it's kind of confusing at times. Just like this update. Oh well. -Rose Hello there. I'm relatively new to fanfiction, and simply decided one day to enter a contest when I found the awesome LJ community KakaSaku. I enjoyed writing my first fanfiction, and I hope you enjoy reading it! There will be more. I really love the KakaSaku relationship, although I enjoy reading just plain good Naruto fanfic. Hearts Unmasked was written for the Underneath the Underneath KakaSaku Contest on Livejournal. I wanted to write a story that explored how their friendship deepened into something more. Of course, Kakashi and Sakura had slightly different ideas than I did... Had a question on this story, and I thought I'd post part of my reply to help any others who were curious: I see a strange dichotomy in Kishimoto's world, and I've applied it to the world I used in my story. They have TV's and yet they travel everywhere by foot or by cart. Therefore, having Sakura see something like the Olympics and decide that she can learn it and use it outside of what was normally taught for ninja, would very possibly be an affront to the traditional way shinobi were raised. So to me it makes sense that some in the village would have knowledge of it (and why not Iruka, teachers often encourage students to stretch themselves beyond the bounds of what is normal) and that she would be able to learn it. The fact that it is outside the norm for her growing up as a shinobi, and that she was hesitant about sharing it as girl growing up, only point to her well-documented shyness and problems with self-confidence. Notice that she doesn't have a problem performing that stretch sequence as a much older teen (and virtually an adult in the shinobi world); she only mentions that when the knee-jerk issue of self-confidence rears its ugly head. |
